Yeah we also thought of that - imagine how much they brought aboard.  I guess with years of experience they know how much to bring, and they prob never run out.  The ship is absolutely humungous and the bottom of the boat must be able to carry enough booze for a month I'm betting.  But yes, imagine if they ran out of booze, - it wouldn't be a good thing, believe me LOL.

    caitlyn:

i know 3 months is just tooooooooooooooo long! i hope they do too release at least one.

Hey frosty that is truly amazing how much booze some peole had a day. also think how much they would need to take with them. For some peole if the run out(doubt that they would though) it would just be a killer.

But not for anyone here that is!;p

Great Big Sea and a beer anyone ? Big Smile

Hmm, today is the 25th right ? and the "official / un-official " release date of the new GBS record is the 24th of June ( Saint Jean Baptiste Day ) so that means basically 3 months less a day from today !

Maybe I'll get a tickerfactory thingie and get that running here, that way I won't be asleep at the wheel when the CD comes out.

Oh yes, please! beermug I'm looking forward to your Great Big Party ... LoL

I like your "thingie" Frosty - although right now it looks a bit depressing. But it gets better every day ... Bounce

I was hoping for the new CD for Christmas when I heard Alan say "in the next couple of weeks" last year in August. Goodness ... is "40" still "a couple of"? Hm. Counting the months (years, actually) back to the TH&TE release kinda scares me. 2005 it was, no? Will it be three long years for the next album again? Sigh, hope not.

Well I don't know how quick Best Buy and Futureshop are - but I preordered the CP&G on this site in "The Store" and it was in my mailbox exactly at release day - even here overseas!

    Cheers ... Christina

Re: Ships and Dip cruise - just amazing !

From my understanding on the first couple of Rock Boats they almost ran out and had to start taking the booze supplies from the other Carnival shipsat the ports.  This year we were supposed to set sail at 4:30 for the Rock Boat and I read somewhere that around 5 pm they still had about 100 pallates of beer that need to be loaded up on the ship- CRAZY amounts of alcohol that were consumed in those 5 glorious days- crazy!!

I am booked for the Rock Boat niner- can't wait!!  I know that they are getting ready to announce ships and dip 5 info soon- i did get the pre-email.  Sounds like you might all be going on a different cruise line next year - if you all plan to attend.  I would love to have GBS come on board the Rock Boat too- i think that they could easily do both trips and would love it (especially since their friends CL and GS are joining us again!!).  I will just cross my fingers - but i have to say that i am so excited about 6 of the 9 bands already booked for TRB- and since i can only take the one week off- i will be on the NINER!!

If you all make it on one of the ships- have a blast and maybe we can catch up if you happen to join TRB.

     Cheers

    Shawnie

Re: Ships and Dip cruise - just amazing !

somebody on the Ships and Dips forums looked at dates booked for ships, and from that, says it could be the "Jewel" that will be the ship hosting the event.

Somebody also said they have done many cruises with them, and that they are several notches above Carnival.  If that's the case, it's going to be really amazing.  And... I thought Carnival was amazing ! , and another lady who's mom was a travel agent ( specializing in cruises ) said that NCL is several notches above Carnival. ( so that's good to know ) .  Gee more space, bigger rooms, yeah.... sounds good to me Big Smile

So all that is left now, is to see what bands get booked.

( P.S. - I was reading the same thread on the Ships And Dip forum that annaonthemoon79 posted )

You've lost me. Where's that clue? And what dude? ...Who? ...WHA?!

Just tell us GBS is on board already and let's get this pahty stahted!

    I am sometimes patient, really.

Oh never mind. I see what happened...Frosty referenced a BNL fan posting as "another lady", who happens to also be a dude, as it were. Got it. And, here I was thinking Sixthman gave us another clue to chew on.

Re: Ships and Dip cruise - just amazing !

Christina - Thanks. I like it too. And, it'll actually become relevant too after Sixthman *cough* announces the line-up *coughGBScough* and opens the pre-sales. The Norwegian line is much nicer too from everything I've read and the ship will have more balcony rooms....YAY! I love getting lost in the moment while gazing at the ocean. If I have to wake up that way, for five days in a row, it certainly won't suck! Paradise

Honey - It's good to see you come out to play again! I knew there were underlying, undiscovered reasons why you're fascinating. big smiles

GBS - Just think how LONG this winter is in St. John's and how LOVELY it'd be to PLAY on a HOT cruise ship next February...

LOL, each time I read that I just giggle hehehehehe.  It sounds SO naughty LOL.

Well, I was over at the ships and dip forum ( I don't post much there ) but anyway, I saw some really nice "thingies" LOL, and they are nice.  I then see Tina has one, so I'm going to maybe change mine also.... the CruiseShip tickers are so much nicer than the TickerFactory ones ( for certain events )

Anyway, that's pretty fantastic that the GBS forum got you your CD that fast ! wow !

Have a beer for me in the motherland !

    Prost !

    Frosty.

    Hey HoneyintheSea,

Ok I gotta know ! .... so spill the beans Big Smile

It's gotta involve beer I think hehehe..... having grown up in Montreal we were very lucky 'cause we not only celebrated Canada Day but also St. Jean's ( June 24th ) and ... well..... many of those nights were quite blurry..... tooooo many of those beverages LOL.

    Oooops. embarrased Giggle angel

No strange interpretation here ... LoL ... although "naughty" is probably an attribute that suits me well!

But, seriously, have a look at your thingie: only 2 months, 2 weeks and 6 days to go suffering! Already an improvement, don't you think?

Prost (where do you know that from?) ... Christina
