Re: Ships and Dip cruise - just amazing !
frostythebeerman: For my wife and I, we spent just over $400, which kept me feeling rather "jolly" most of the time LOL,
$400 COMBINED?! Holy crap! Mine was $430 for just me - granted there were rounds bought, however, I'm quite sure that some of my cocktails are on my pals bills as well. Hi... my name is Kim... and, well, you know the rest..

So, how're y'all gonna do that? It's not surprising I guess that people talk about Sean's smoking or attempts to quit because it's been public knowledge for a long time, and the guys have joked about it on stage. Still, I can't imagine how it really affects the fans individually or collectively. Here in North America anyone, like Becca, who is allergic to smoke certainly has the advantage of regulated non-smoking environments. Personally, I'd like to see Alan, Sean and Bob stick around as long as possible, so for that reason I wish them all excellent health...that includes no more crazy bus tipping or meningitis scares please. Hi-karumba!

Really? Hi-karumba. It had a great little revival after Bart Simpson came along, or did I imagine that? LOL. Probably.

Well Frosty, if Bob, Alan, Sean and the band (along with Carbon Leaf, Sarah Harmer and maybe Boothby Graffoe for optimum greed) are aboard a Carnival ship this time next year, I'll be the one hollering all aboard as I slip on my new sunglasses (with a dummy string attached this time) and head for the rum punch in the tallest, most neon-tastic plastic cup I can find!

LOL!!! Wha' happen? I think the rum punch in the neontastic cup was the problem! The "dummy string" does sound like the PERFECT solution!

I still regret my pre-emptive parting of the ways with the sexy Bolles. I need a dummy string to be sexy. I am retarded. LOL.

You got sunglasses before boarding?! Man. I AM retarded. I missed that. I got new polarized Bolle sunglasses for my birthday. I was totally psyched to wear them on the cruise -- my first pair of quality shades ever. We parted ways sometime between my first rum punch and when I stumbled back to 8234 in the wee hours on day one--my birthday. D'Oh! I think they fell off my head while I was er...mumble mumble mumble

hehe Never underestimate the power of Estelle and I ;) Yeah, I was glad to find most of the ship smoke free. I took an allergy pill right before Brothers Creeggan at the Ionan (cigar) bar just in case, and the night I was hanging out in the Casino, but anytime I randomly passed through either of those places it was a nightmare for my breathing. Blergh. Fortunately, all of my friends who smoke are very considerate and move away from me when they need to smoke. Maybe if we all tell Séan we want him to stick around it will help? :p. Does Canada do those "smoke out" days like we have?

Re: Ships and Dip cruise - just amazing !
Yuppers, they gave them out right at the bottom of the stairs where you see Ed standing. This was the area, that was brand new for this year ( the place where the Carnival desks were, where they got all your info in order, etc ) When we were there, Ed showed up, and was yelling out to the crowd and getting everyone excited ! At the bottom of the stairs, they were handing out sundglasses, a thingie for your head ( sun visor ) and any colour Hawaiian lay you wanted, then up the stairs you went, and into the boardwalk to the ship. ee-gawd, that's too bad about the sunglasses..... I bet they were really expen$ive too... sorry to hear that Happy belated Birthday by the way !

Re: Ships and Dip cruise - just amazing !
I think we boarded before that was set up. I was probably well into my $200 round of punch by then. LOL. Yes, they were my first pricey shades. It's my own fault.
Thanks for the birthday wishes. :)
