    Hi Frosty,

I'm not sure if we met, but we probably saw you!  What an amazing cruise!!  Seeing all the boys on the boat all the time mingling with everyone was great.

Alan gave my two daughters each a guitar pick during the first concert, and earlier in the day stopped to take photos in our hallway.  As it turned out, he was right at the end of our hallway!  I think they were all on # 8!  What a blast!

By the way, thanks to ChiTownKim for "protecting" my girls.  You know what I mean! Wink

We took lots of photos at each concert; both girls got digital cameras for Christmas, so they were trying them out.  Seeing Sean jump on stage at the Carbon Leaf concert and sing "Hanging Johnny" was a treat.  The last concert was a blast, especially heading over to Gaelic Storm afterwards and having the band minus Murray jump up on stage as well.

Afterwards Alan sat down with the girls and signed their CD covers which hadn't been previously signed, but not before reminiscing over the photos in each of them.  He had a bit of fun drawing a picture of himself on my younger daughter's arm, under her Great Big Sea tatoo.  She can't wait to show her friends at school!

All in all it was wonderful for all the boys to make themselves accessible to everyone, and to really enjoy their fans.  And for their fans, it was certainly an experience none of us will ever forget!  We're hoping that they will do it again next year!

    Cheers!

You brought your kids?  How old are they?  Did they enjoy themselves?  I am trying to figure out how we can go on the next one if GBS is on board again.  The odds of going increase significantly if the kids can come along!

There weren't a lot of children, but there were children of all ages, starting as young as four months old. In some cases it seemed like there were also Grandmas/nannys along to help out. If you're going to bring young children, I would recommend bringing extra help along. The music and fun lasts until well into the morning, well after the little ones are already bundled in bed.

I suggest that we all include some photos of yourselves on the tour. I know I met some of you, but am sure that I saw, and even talked to, others without realizing who you were.

Re: Ships and Dip cruise - just amazing !

Somebody asked me via email about the beverages, so I thought I'd post one of our dozens of bills here.

This bill was for 4 beers during happy hour. (4 cans of Miller Lite ) that the server brings you in a big plastic bucket filled with ice.  There is no shortage of servers walking the decks, looking for thirsty customers.  No matter where you are on the ship, either it at a table or standing around on deck chatting, or looking at the ocean, they bring whatever you need right to you.  The service was great.  All I can say is..... I was never thirsty ( wink wink ! ) Wink

As for the 15% "Gratuity" adding up to $2.00 on $10.00 of beer, I can't figure it out, but I'm assuming it's another fee that they incorporate on "Happy Hour" beers.  I just checked a few other bills, and the 15% was correct; for example, a can of Foster's beer I ordered was $5.95 + 15% gratuity and it came out to $6.84 which is exactly 15%.  If you were in port in Miami, you would also see another tax added to your beverage under "MIA" tax.

Good to meet you guys too Frosty! To add to Frosty's post, the bucket of 4 Millers was the cheapest drink aboard and only available during happy hour at that price. You could also get 4 plastic cups of Corona for $14 plus gratuity. That was the second cheapest option aboard and only during happy hour (2-5pm). Other drinks ranged as high as $14.95 each for the special multi-shot cocktails in theme glasses.

    Wha happen...?!

Here's a pic of our Dunn's River Falls climb. It's cropped to protect the innocent!

No. Adam did not get shot in the head. He thought it would be a great idea to be stamped in the middle of his forehead, so he leaned headlong toward the red rubber stamp at the entrance and KAPOWEE...no problem mon!

Kelly, Dave and Kim were climbing with us.

Oh Frosty, if only I had just a dozen of those little billsBig Smile I could wallpaper a small room with those receipts.  Got to the point mid-week that our one server already knew our sign and sail number so we could dispense with that entire step!

No worries, Tina.  Go ahead and post the whole pic.

By the way, I laughed out loud when I saw "Wha Happen?!"...  that was our quote for the week, and it started when we sat down to lunch after boarding and were swarmed by the "beverage brigade".  Truly, the service was awesome!  You know when are standing on a beach feeding seagulls and then there seem to be a million of them?  Well, that was the beverage brigade.  Evidently, we were such good customers that our man, Sakchai, didn't even need to see our room cards towards the end of the trip - he had our numbers memorized along with our drink orders - God love him!

I hear ya nova !, I think we have enough to plaster a small room too beermug , my wife kept joking that should check into A.A. when we got home haha. Angel

Darn it's so depressing looking out the window and seeing snow, we got a huge 30 cm dumping the day before we go home, and it's sad to see that blinking my eyes several times, slapping my face, doesn't seem to wake me up and I'm back on the ship, listening to amazing music, having drinks, feeling that sun on my face, and eating beautiful food made for me.  I had to make my own breakfast this morning, and it was a dose of reality shocked 2 , gone is my new found friend at the omlette station at the back of the ship, I'd go to his station each morning and get a "combination omlette" he's make it right there for me on the spot.  Oh man do I miss that guy and his breakfast. ( see below ) ( and below that, a picture of one of the beverage fellas )

Wasn't Sakchai amazing? He's at sea 7.5 months then gets to spend 2.5 months home with his family. I couldn't do it. We tipped him well above the gratuity.

Here's a great boarding pic of me, you and Fru!

(if only i could remember the password to my original log in....)

Seeing GBS on the cruise was incredible, and I really hope BNL/Sixthman opt to invite GBS and CL again next year.  I went for BNL, and then got excited when GBS and CL were added, and I even skipped a bit of one of the BNL shows to see all of a CL set,and if the second BNL show hadn't started late, I'd have missed a bit of it to watch GBS.

I have some great photos I'll post, I just have to sort/resize and right now I'm too darned tired.

    Hello again,

We brought our two daughters, aged 12 and 10.  They are huge fans of the boys and we surprised them with the cruise for a Christmas present!!Surprise  They had an absolute blast and enjoyed seeing and talking to everyone onboard, especially the boys.  I think the only one they didn't run into was Sean.

    I wouldn't hesitate as lon
