Did anyone buy an XL or XXL of either of the green ones that doesn't fit?  If so, please send me a PM.  Smile  Thanks!

I am having the same terrible problem and not with the plus size.  I ordered a medium because it says they run small.  But even the medium is TOO SMALL for petite fans.  Basically anyone with boobs is not going to fit in these t-shirts.  Kinda lame for a ladies style!  I have been corresponding with Tina at GreatBigSea.com; I may also try to return it based on the shirt not being as described.  I am totally bummed because I love these new designs.

If it is an infringement of copyright to use Great Big Sea or GBS.  One could put Alan or Sean or Bob or a lyric.  You could try the game 'what does GBS stand for'

No, Jess she is  not. Sewing a patch on a shirt, Jacket or backpack is the intended purpose of that patch and GBS is aware of that.

WHat Nicopop is refering to - and what I was concerned about and specifically asking about- is  making our own Tshirts. Several of us have batted the idea around of embroidering, sewing, painting, making t shirt s on our computers, ect. THAT would be copy right infringement. And you need to get written permission from GBS HQ to make stuff like that. It's been years since the idea was sent forth to Louis or anyone at HQ so I don't know if they would care - If it were me I'd find a way to check it with folks first so as not to piss off the band.

I wouldn't think it would be a copyright infringement to sew a GBS patch purchased through official channels onto a garment.  You paid GBS for the patch.  I think what Nico means is it would be a copyright infringement to make and sell a GBS t-shirt yourself.

Using an image of the B'ys would still violate Copy right, As far as I know. And lyrics DEFINATELY would violate copyright

Hmm. I totally wanted to incorporate the words courage, patience, grit into a tattoo idea I had...I wonder if that's illegal? :( (note, not "courage, patience and grit", but the 3 individual words.)

Rebekah, I have and XXL. I emailed the store about returning it, they haven't gotten back to me yet though.

Re: New "Plus Size" shirts? NOT SO MUCH!

It's all hypothetical anyways, I'll wear my own shirt with no advertising.  I would like to get ahold of those humungous H&E shirts and cut that up some, give it some shape or at least add a belt.  They looked like sacks.  Sorry ,if that offends someone, that is just my odd sense of style.

Amanda,  I am thinking that if I deface my body, a GBS themed tatoo would be the way to go!

Hey, Amanda, if they won't let you return the shirt, I'll be happy to send you a check for what you paid for it plus what it'd cost you to mail it to me.  I was gonna buy one, and it makes sense to me to do it from someone who can't use theirs.  Is it the mermaid or the whale?

    Rebekah---

That is an absolutely excellent idea! If the tightwads at the store will not refund us, we should offer our shirts at cost, to fellow okpers smaller than us. I don't remember if Amanda said which one she ordered. I ordered the mermaid one in blue, size XXL if anyone's interested. Tho, I'd prefer to have the satisfaction of the store refunding me. It's the principle. Either way, I prefer to have $38 remain in my wallet than have a shirt that sits in a drawer, unworn.

Re: New "Plus Size" shirts? NOT SO MUCH!

My current plan is to get a shirt that FITS me and a bunch of SEQUINS and sew GREAT BIG FAN on the shirt on the way to this spring's shows.  Let's see if I get to it.  Make your own and show me up!

Re: New "Plus Size" shirts? NOT SO MUCH!

Perhaps we should all make a sign that says "GREAT BIG FANS want GREAT BIG SHIRTS !" and take it to the concerts on this tour.

Maybe the b'ys would get the message to the makers and breakers then.

    nicopop:

We are taking your concerns about merch sizing to heart and it will be brought to management for consideration on future GBS shirts.

As for creating your own merch, it is a copyright infringement to use the name or a likeness of the band.

If you have questions regarding an order, please e-mail store@greatbigsea.com.

I just checked, and the store seems to be working OK for me. Here is a direct link to the Help section: http://greatbigsea.com/store/help/policy.aspx

Any questions, please let me know.

Thanks for your efforts. They are appreciated.
