Re: What's your favourite beer?
I'm a toss-up between Keith's (pale or amber, depending on the occasion), and Guinness. I may actually be leaning more towards Guinness now, because the last time I had a pint, the server drew a shamrock on the head, and I just thought that was the coolest thing ever. What can I say, I'm easily impressed!

Re: What's your favourite beer?
Hey pirogue, have you tried Bell’s Hopslam? It ups the hops from the Two-Hearted, but is made with a touch of honey, so the extra bitterness is tinged with a floral sweetness. It’s heaven in a bottle. The only place I've seen it on tap was at Foran's (Downtown Detroit) last winter. Because of the hops shortage, I don’t think they’ll make it this winter, but their hops crop (Bell's is growing their own hops now) should yield enough for a batch next year.

Delirium Tremens it's Belgian it's beer and it's brutal! Oh and it comes in a fancy glass with pink elephants flying round it! Or as cocktails go..try a half of Guiness a half of strong Cider and drop a shot glass of Pernod into the pint glass then try and down it in one........on second thoughts...DON'T!!!!!

Re: What's your favourite beer?
Any of Unibroue's beers is fine by me! Victory's good too, especially Golden Monkey. When I'm at Redbones (local BBQ house) and can't decide what beer I want, if I'm upstairs I can just ask them to spin the Wheel of Beer and have it choose for me. It's always something good - I got one once called Smuttynose that was delicious, but they have Belgians, barleywines, stouts, anything you could imagine. It's beer and BBQ paradise. The hush puppies are awesome too. Love, Columbine

Re: What's your favourite beer?
Beer has been something that took many years for me to get to liking. My dad used to make his own, and I'd have sips and never liked anything until one fateful day before heading to university and I tried a Keiths, ever since then the darker ales just taste great. I enjoy Kilkenny and last year my boyfriend introduced me to "Ringberry" a lightly fruit flavored dark ale from the granite (a micro brewery in Toronto). Now i can't get enough of it when I'm in Toronto. I would definitely recommend the Granite Brewery (located in Downtown TO on Mount Pleasant), its also a restaurant and last year their burgers were rated number one, which is because their sauce is made from their stout (which is also very yummy)

Re: What's your favourite beer?
What took me so long to discover THIS thread??? The darker the better in my opinion. I like a Guinness, for sure, but most any porter or stout will do. I'm also not too proud to admit I like Killian's when I just want a decent cheap beer. I am, however, proud to say that I have had only one Budweiser in my entire life, and have never otherwise touched any of the American biggies.
We've got a local brewery here in Nashville called Yazoo, and they've got several nice ones. Dos Perros, their version of Dos Equis, is my favorite. It's a nice dark Mexican amber. In their tap room, you can get your hands on whatever they've been experimenting on lately. I love to support the hometown guys!

Re: What's your favourite beer?
Sorry to say, I am mostly a blue drinker. Its not my fav, but when buying a case, its the least expensive out there that not the buck a beer brands. Cant do draft, but when I do its stella or Moosehead. If Im out I usually get Keiths or Moosehead, Carlsberg or Harp (if I can get them). When I get a chance on the road I love to check out brew pubs. Found some nice beers in Freeport and Kingston.

Re: What's your favourite beer?
I had a really fantastic grapefruit beer when I was in Germany recently. I don't remember the name of it. Around here, I prefer Bass or Killian's. Corona a close second.

Re: What's your favourite beer?
That would probably be a Schoefferhofer, I think they're the only brewery doing it

Re: What's your favourite beer?
I am personally not a huge beer drinker... but I can speak for my father... lol. He likes: Alexander Keith's (all varieties) Sleeman's Rickard's Stella Artois Grolisch (sp?)

I love Strongbow, Anne. Is that what you'll be drinking at the okp party?! I do only live 2 houses away from the liquor store!
