I'm ordering the mermaid in blue (seems only fitting, being a shanty fan!) and my sister, Tee, is ordering the whale.  I actually told Tee to hold off on ordering till we see the winners of the contest and when those shirts will be available.  From what I've seen, there are some fine entries! I LOVE TinaCap's design!  Sharn, love yours too, and if it doesn't win, I'm tempted to print it out and put it on a shirt myself!  I do embroidery, but I think I'd save the time and paint it. I think everyone who has posted their entries should be very proud! I'm sure the judges (maybe the boys themselves?!) are having a tough time deciding!  Hopefully, we'll hear soon!

I see the same thing.... the  "G" is indeed missing.

 Yeah it's really too bad about the pricing on the shirts, at that price I cannot justify buying one.
Sheez, you can buy a bunch of white T-shirts at WallyWorld ( Wal-Mart ) and just print up your own design and put it on.  A guy in my local flying group did a T-shirt last summer for our club, ... he did the logo in Illustrator, and printed it out on those iron-on transfers you can buy everywhere now.  The shirt was so impressive that people thought it was professionally done.  I was really impressed with it.  Say $7 for the shirt, $2 or $3 for the iron on, and you are good to go.

I don't think I'm ready for a splash in THAT ocean either!  I've pm'd Nicopop and asked if she has seen these shirts and if she knows anything about the missing 'g'.  I wanted to order one, but not with a flaw like that! And the price isn't really all that different from the prices at concerts. Heck, I paid $40 for my red TH&TE shirt!  I have 5 GBS shirts and they were all $30 to $40.  Plus we have no concert dates to spend our money on yet, so I'll indulge in this for now!!

I am glad to here that the "g" is not missing in the actual t-shirts that was the one i was planning on ordering. I wish to eventually buy all of them but at the moment funds are not sufficient enough to get all three. And like Trace said the shirts are not the cheapest but i guess it's like that for every band a GBS is totally worth it. I have the GBS sweat shirt which was 60 dollars and the hard and the easy fish shirt which was 35 dollars. Also like trace said we don't have any concert dates here in Canada as of yet so we won't be able to go to any concerts in order to buy these. But before i buy any new t-shirts I'm gonna wait and see who the winners are of the contest I'm sure it's well worth the wait. Also hopefully they do make some concert dates here in Canada.

I think I'm gonna get one, but I'll wait 'till the concert.  I'm stoked that they have shirts other than album-art type shirts now, and can't wait to wear it around.

I think I said it before (finals are frying my brain), but if they can just make a nifty poster of the b'ys looking hot and broody/silly/like themselves, all will be shiny.

Hey everyone,

I just want to clarify a couple things:

• The new Great Big Sea t-shirts we have for sale in the store are not part of the logo open call. These shirts will be sold on the boys' tour and are being sold exclusively in our store now as part of a pre-sale.
• A final decision has not been made for the open call yet, and please don't worry, we'll let you know the outcome.

There were a lot of great designs - it was hard narrowing that list down! I am also enjoying the ones you've been posting in this thread, so keep at it!
