Well, it's easy to figure out that the loud-mouthed guy is a good person to avoid. All his cards are on the table, so to speak. But the quiet guy...

Which probably explains why I've never been a huge Alan fan. Razz

I was going more with my description than yours (ie. loud-mouthed), but it's true that he doesn't carry a butcher knife. Thank goodness.

Well, I doubt he'd intentionally harm anyone with it if he did. Wink

True...but not all the time, yeah? Wink

Anyway, I enjoy the drunk story. The heroic thing really got me, but the breaking into the abandoned house made me laugh too. And him busting out the timbers instead of using the door...oh yeah...laugh

    Well...I've been tipsy...but I've never been drunk.

    That's why it's so funny. *L*

I was something of a teacher's pet, and got away with a lot of goofball antics that might have gotten others in trouble - although apparently one of my stupid comic strips scared the bejeepers out of a teacher when it fell into the wrong hands. Apparently one of my juvenile "generic insults" proved randomly accurate. Luckily I managed to convincingly blame somebody else!

I've never even been tipsy. I have been the sober one at parties where everyone else was either stoned or drunk, and seen some of the silly/stupid things they were doing. I have come to the conclusion that fire and drunkenness do not mix well.

Sometimes I think fire and humanity don't mix so well. *L*

When I say tipsy...I mean buzzed. A nice pleasant feeling where lots of things are funnier than they normally are. It's like going without sleep only not being quite as tired. laugh

    Re: NEW FEATURE: Bob's Soundtrack

Ugh - I'd much rather be slightly tipsy than at all sleep deprived. For me, sleep dep is 100% unpleasant - foggy-headed, grouchy, stupid, and prone to panic over nothing. And not "stupid" as in "easily amused," "stupid" as in "can't make sense of what's going on or remember what I was doing."

Love, Columbine (guess who was up late at the veterinary hospital again last night - next time "distraction therapy" will probably involve stuffing the little floofball in his carrier, hauling him out to the park, sitting there with him reading a book, and then coming back. The problem is that he's got to FORGET there's something wrong, and then there won't be; but he's not in any real danger, or in any pain right now.)

No, I mean that whole staying up 'til three in the morning and getting slightly "high" when you're a teenager. *L* Not actual sleep deprivation.

    Re: NEW FEATURE: Bob's Soundtrack

Well, I've been tipsy, drunk, high and sleep deprived. Of all of them, I prefer high, because the recovery is easy and it never made me feel sick - ofcourse, I wasn't exactly shooting heroin so... Alcohol, even just a couple drinks, makes me feel lousy then next day. And, like Columbine, sleep deprivation makes me very, very un-likeable.

Just to bring it back to Bob's story - I had to put out a fire when I was the sober-est person at a booze up. Yes, I used beer. No, I'm not sorry about it.

Well...you know...beer's gotta be good for something...

Yeah, I think I need to come visit you, Sandra. No, I KNOW! We'll do it when we get together for kayaking. Yeah. Big Grin
