Re: Great Big Dreams - Again!
OK, so for some reason I'm in Toronto by myself. I'm staying in a crappy hotel, but have the nicest room in it, so people are envious. Dunno what people, just have a sense that people are envious. I realize, as I'm walking around downtown, that GBS is playing that night, and somehow I didn't know, (pshya, like THAT'D happen) and I don't have tickets. I keep running into OKP people. Every one of you that I've ever met. We make plans to meet up at the Boar's Head for dinner. Dunno if the Boars Head exists, but it was very clear in my dream that that was where we were meeting, I can still see the wooden sign clearly in my head. So we're at the pub and having a great time, but I have a heavy heart the whole time, and am trying really hard to keep things light, and have a good time and just be thankful and cherish the time I have together with all you great people, but I just felt SO AWFUL and SO SORRY for myself, cause I wasn't going to the show. I think I have US tour date envy. Please play Halifax soon!

Re: Great Big Dreams - Again!
Ok I had a bizarre one the other night. I have been listening the intro to the LR SONC on C&P&G how they talk about Chris Trapper writing songs for/with them. Anyway, I was in a coffee shop and having a cup of coffee with DH we look over and see Sean and Alan writing on a napkin. They acknowledged us and waved us over. We all just chatted for a bit and talked about what they were writing. DH and I got up to leave and said our goodbyes. I leaned over and gave each of them a kiss on the cheek and said " Thanks for letting us witness the birth of a wonderful new song" Go ahead analyze that one. LOL

Re: Great Big Dreams - Again!
i had a very strange GBS dream, and my first! very strange. i worked for them... and was filling out questionares for them, like a lot of questionares that they then wanted me to send to 'senators' as Sean said. then i rode on the bus with the guys for a bit and i played a mandolin in a jam session. i don't play the mandolin. i have never even touched a mandolin. then the bus pulled up at the Lisner auditorium in DC (the venue i saw them at) and Sean had a philisophical discussion with mom about whether we exist or not. vey strange, i need to lay off the iced tea.

Re: Great Big Dreams - Again!
What, I find weird, is that Murray is involved in 95% of my dreams! Kris is involved in 80% and Bob is involved in 40%, Sean is involved in 10%, Alan is involved in 20%! Why is Murray involved in so many dreams, and Kris in so many. And Sean and Alan so few! I just remember a dream. I was watching the 'Can't stop fallin'' video. For some reason, Bob was getting thrown by the Wrestler Lady instead of Sean and then I went to church and we had the session on the grass? For a real weird reason and Bob was there. (That's my most vivid Bob dream) Here's my most vivid Sean Dream: I was at an amusement park and I went on the roller coaster and they paired me up........................with Sean!

Re: Great Big Dreams - Again!
I'm one of the lucky ones (depending). I don't remember my dreams! I do recall dreaming that me and Bob were fighting over the couch next to me. THAT was odd.

Re: Great Big Dreams - Again!
Once a had a dream about Bob playing hockey! I know he doesn't play it in real life, but he was in my dream and I was at the game. He was a good skater too. Perhaps, I listened to Helmethead on to many times!

Re: Great Big Dreams - Again!
Last night, I dreamed about a GBS concert in what essentially looked like a cafeteria. I'm a loyal subject of King Alan, but my husband is a Shantyfan, so it surprised me that we were at a table listening to the band and chatting with Sean (yes, WHILE the band was playing). He was a little grumpy because (his words) "Alan sings everything these days." We assured him that not only was he a key member of the band but that several of our favorite songs were his. I think Scott (husband) tried to convince him by singing General Taylor.
At any rate, we moved on and I bought GBS shoes. Sadly, I don't remember what they looked like. That proved to be a problem as I lost them later in the dream and had to look through piles of shoes at K-Mart, hoping to recognize my shoes on sight. We eventually gave up and went back to the concert. While we were waiting for the second half, a bunch of conservative Christians (!!!) insisted that their band of space aliens (!!!) would be taking the stage instead of GBS. My grandmother was with them.
The whole thing just disintegrated from there.
Let's just hope Sean isnt harboring a secret grudge. It could mean aliens and conservative Christians.

Re: Great Big Dreams - Again!
Had a GBS dream about going on an airplane, and everyone fell out. I think I remember Alan being there, and there was a giant slide set up, you know, one of those inflatable ones. Don't know why everyone fell out of the airplane, it was werid.

Re: Great Big Dreams - Again!
Had a weird little dream last night. Front row, at a concert, with a slow, uncooperative camera. The "object" of the dream seemed to be to try and snap fantastic pictures of really great moments...Basically, it was like that video game "Pokemon Snap" only with Great Big Sea (man, I'd play that game like crazy. "Ooh, look! I unlocked the 'Christmas Concert' level! Lookit! Sean's wearing a Santa Hat and trying to put a red nose and antlers on Alan! *Cli-chik* 500 points!" ) Then there was something weird about the Rapture and balloons and flubber and Alan and a baby... I don't know.
"This is magnificent -- and it is TRUE! It never happened, yet it is still true. What magic art is this?"
