I'd like to extend the extension of the welcomes and suggest you really look around the site - not just the OKP. There are many places to read sbout GBS, look at photos, buy merchandise, listen to CDs you don't have, read bios, check out old newsletters (there are some really funny ones), and read the From the Road notes from Alan. So much to do...so little time!

Well said, Anne! As much as we all enjoy being here in the kitchen, this GBS site is about a whole lot more than just here! So, enjoy it all.

I was once a lurker too, just like many of you. Then I decided to take the plunge and jump on in.

I've gone WAY outside of my old comfort zone as a result of this board. I've made great friends and have even had the opportunity to meet some of them face-to-face!

The fans of GBS are a unique bunch, in my opinion. And I love them all! Yes, even those ones.... This board, and the others that were spawned by it, has it's own amazing mix of people and we're all drawn together by the same string - the music of GBS!

I hope to get to know more of you, and I hope to encourage some of you lurkers to become more visible on the board. We don't bite, not hard anyways, and if you feel out of your depth just remember that we were all n00bs once! Ask any of us for assistance and we'll be more than happy to help out.

I lurked for a while but it's far more fun coming out of lurkdom and chatting with all the nice folks on here. I've made many friends on here and some of us have even travelled together for a show.
