I had dream a few days ago that GBS was coming to play a party in my backyard(which is decent-sized, but not THAT big) and I'd invited 1,000 people, all of whom showed up, so you couldn't walk in the yard at all and the stage was set up in the back corner - we were going to have to take the guys around the block and go through the backyard of the people who live behind us to get them to it. Anyway, I kept trying to tell the boys that everyone was waiting for them to play, but Bob was in my living room in an intense conversation with my sister on the finer points of music theory from an accordian perspective and its effects on folk music and Alan and Séan were drinking shots of God-knows-what(it was kind of yellowish) with my mom(this part could actually happen - the woman has a hollow leg, I swear!) and eating and keep telling me that they're really hungry and they'll go on when they're done, don't worry, while Mom keeps pouring the shots. There were sandwiches and shot glasses all over the kitchen table - a real mess, like they were trying all the different sandwiches and putting them down and eating other ones, with the insides of the sandwiches falling out all over the place and making a huge mess. It was pretty funny, actually and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, I just don't think I'll be asking the boys to play my backyard anytime soon - aside from the fact that I don't really have enough room for 1,000 people, cleaning up that mess in the kitchen would have been something. Cheers all! Kati

I had one last night. I was at my old school, and for some reason, GBS was there. I began to chat with Alan by Library door. I mentioned how I liked Michelle, and he said 'My sister Michelle?' and I nodded. Talked about Petty Harbour, and ended up sitting against the lockers near the girls bathroom like we were old friends... Weird eh?

This morning actually! I had a dream about doing all sorts of everyday things with my beloved and one of them was a GBS gig in Scotland! In the dream, we had a meet and greet after the gig!

Last night, I went to a GBS show Bob-knows-where or how. I remember five things definitively: 1) Tracey was there with me. 2) We were in the front row, stage Bob, but still several feet from the stage (it was set up like it would be for a school play or something, and I do think we were in a school-like auditorium). 3) I wanted to take pictures, only to discover that my sister and I had accidently swapped cameras last week before she returned to Maryland and I had no idea how to turn the flash off on her camera! 4) I don't know why, but I saw Alan standing by the back of a van like he was unloading equipment and he offered to help me figure the camera out. He was wearing shorts and a t-shirt and looked more buff than usual... (I guess those YMCA visits are paying off!) 5) The first song they did was Run Runaway, then they started to do Turn, but Bob started singing instead of Séannie! When Séan tried to take over, Bob got really mad and refused to do the song, so they had to stop after the first verse!

Dreams are definalty weird, because there IS NO WEEK LONG RUN OF GBS CONCERTS IN CANADA! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIFFFFFFFFFAAAAAAXXXXXXXX!!!! (yes, I've finally lost it, completely)
In the social order, I accept the bottom rung, until the wine is pouring and the Lord commands a song!

XanyKaos: I had one. A bunch of OKPers (who I'd never met before) decided we were going to drive up to Canada for a week-long run of GBS concerts. The only one I remember in the car was Young Spaniard (which is odd because, I mean, you live in Canada, right?) But on the way up, we wound up sharing a hotel with the b'ys, and we all had cookies and a lovely time. ...then we couldn't cross the border because YS was too young or didn't have her passport or something. Dreams are weird.
I feel special!

Like much of what you post, Xany, there's something untangibly adoreable about that statement!

Am I the only one who, in 14 years of fandom, can't recall more than two very brief dreams about any of the boys?

14 years? Wow. I always feel like I missed out, with not even half a year of fandom under my belt yet. I think it's pretty weird myself. I don't usually have fandom type dreams. No LotR, no Firefly...one or two M*A*S*H (just today, actually)...but GBS keeps showing up in my dreams. And the only one that actually had a cause--the night after the Charlotte concert, I dreamed that we were at a hotel (that was also my house), trying to run into the b'ys, but they kept avoiding us...and they were also teaching catechism to some preK kids. Then I started playing with our beagle and Sean came out. Then Alan came up, thanked me for the picture I drew at the concert, and gave me a big hug. ...I woke up hugging my pillow. I dunno. Maybe musicians just get into your subconcious more easily. My friend keeps having dreams about John Entwistle. I feel special!
You should! squeezeboxsarah: XanyKaos:

Geez, what's going on? Another one! I was at some big old hall place - it was like a fisherman's union hall, with old picnic tables everywhere in rows where guys waited to be called to the boats. Along one wall were rows of windows, like ticket windows. A couple on one ened were open - I guess where guys would register when they came in. Alan and Darrel were at one table and started off Donkey Riding. I kept wanting to add a verse of my own, but couldn't think of the rhymes I wanted. FInally at the end, I tried: "Were you ever on Cape Cod Where the girls have grea bods, Don't ever try no fraud ...riding on a donkey" Pretty bad, I know, but ALan pointed at me and smiled! Then ALan introduced a song, saying "_____ ___ told me I'd never written a song that made you cry, so I wrote this one" FOr this osn he was in one of those rooms along the wall, and the sound was coming from speakers, and over in the far room where the windows were open (for registration?) a guy was playing guitar with the song, but because he was listening to the music through a speaker, it was a little delayed so sounded echoy. I moved back over to nearer where ALan was to avoid the echo. I have no idea what song it was, but when ALan finished he said "Luckily, it came out pretty good" and I said to him "Alan, EVERYTHING you write is good!"
