Re: WHB 10/11/09 [aka Westhampton Beach, NY]
Yay Anne! I haven't been in the OKP for a while, so I missed all of the goings on in this thread. This is going to be a great show! Has anyone found anything with regard to a hotel? There is a hotel that is affiliated with Atlantica in WHB, but their room rates are ridiculous. I'm thinking of calling to see if we'd get a discount if we had a lot of people booking rooms. It is October, after all, not prime tourist time. I've got 9 people going with my group. I'll let you know if I have any success. Regardless of where we al are staying, we have to have a meet up. Can anyone suggest an excellent place? I AM SO LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS SHOW!!!!!!!!!!

I am staying at the Budget Host Inn in Riverhead. Call them and see if you can get reservations. It was only $69. Anne

Isn't Riverhead a ways away from W. Hampton ?

Riverhead is on the large side, but from the Budget host in its a straight shot down to Westhampton. In fact the hotel is bordered on one side by the road you would take south. That hotel is about 10-15 min away depending on how you drive.

I'm thinking Riverhead is the way to go. Anything closer to the venue is either crazy expensive or closed for the season. I am going to call Anne's place and see if they'll offer us a group rate. I'll keep you all posted. How many people here are looking for a place to stay? I've got a bunch of people going with me. I'm thinking that booking 10 rooms shouldn't be too difficult, especially if the rate is less than $69.

BetRx and I scoped out the theater the other day. Nice looking place and we found the perfect place to meet before the show with all the OKPers. Directly across the street from the venue is a bar/restaurant that will be open Columbus Day weekend. The name is VERY appropiate... Margaritas !!! Can't wait to see you all there !

Has anyone ever been to a show at this theater before? It looks beautiful, but I am just concerned with our tickets being at will call. I wonder how early we can get it to pick them up...whatever. It is going to be a great night. I am so looking forward to it. Just heard from friends who have been to Margarita's before and they liked it. Really looking forward to seeing everyone. Great Big Sea playing on Long Island. It doesn't get any better than that!

I don't know if anyone's checked the place out recently, but Google Maps says that Margarita's is closed permanently.... Amy
