    Chiarascura:

PS - What's your username, Sarah?

I don't have one yet.  Goodness, you people are quick!  I have this weird hesitation about joining an online community before I scope it out a bit first.  I work tomorrow, then I have to go to my Dad's, the to the Recycling Center, then clean out my car, then work on my resume and fill out my May availability sheet for the bookstore, so I may not get to it til Sunday.

(Are these the kind of things I would "tweet" about?)

    DUCK... DUCK... DUCK...

    Re: Sean’s A-Twitter!

I'm not quite sure I get the point of letting people know what I'm doing all day long and why anyone would care! Confused But I won't be a party pooper yet...I didn't 'get' Facebook at first either, and although I am not there all the time, I understand how it and all it's applications could become addictive...just not sure about Twitter...yet.

    Re: Sean’s A-Twitter!

I hear you Trace. It's not interactive so much as a pit stop for byte-sized updates. It's kind of like Facebook with everything removed but the status updates, which many FB people don't even bother with. LOL.

Anyway, I found Harpers magazine in Twitter and they forward interesting links and news. I have a feeling Twitter is largely for the dissemination of news & entertainment twit...er...ing - whatever the word is. :)

ETA: I just figured out (invented, b*stardized, whatever) the word - it's twitbits. Angel

Is it wrong that I'm logging on just to get updates on what Tosh is up to? He certainly seems to lead a more exciting life than I do. Maybe Tosh should have a journal of his own to keep us entertained. (Where's MArley in all of this anyway?)

I joined but I don't get it.  How do I add people without having to fork over me email password?  Ain't no WAY I'm doing THAT!

    Re: Sean’s A-Twitter!

If you know the person's twitter name, enter that into the little box at the top of the page and click on the search button.  It's fairly straight forward after that!

The whole thing with it asking you for your email password is so that that page can search your email contacts and match them with users on Twitter.  If they ARE already on Twitter you will be prompted to add them to your 'following' list.  If they AREN'T then you will be prompted to invite them.

Ah, fresh meat for the Sean-ivores Wink...

For reasons I can't quite explain, I too am on Twitter as annettesan.  Join me for unsurpassed banality.

    Re: Sean’s A-Twitter!

Or fresh meat for people that have nothing better to do than discuss every little thing Séan does...and feel that everybody else wants to discuss in minute detail.

I have to say, now that I've been on Twitter for a couple of days I see both the upsides and the downsides of it.  And I'm debating about whether or not I'm going to keep my Twitter account.

And I'm debating about whether or not I'm going to keep my Twitter account.

Yeah, me too. I  don't see why it would become 'all the rage'. I didn't get Facebook at first, as I said earlier, but at least it can be entertaining and you can find people you haven't seen in awhile. I don't really see the purpose of this...maybe I'm too old. confused2
