What does that mean - people have gotten in, but not finished their transaction?  Doesn't sound very promising- how many people are going to abandon their transaction - I wouldn't think very many.

That's what I'm thinking, except it's been like that for about 45 minutes now, and some of those transactions would have had to expire (if there's a 9 minute window)... If you manage to get them at this point, I'm gonna cry. :(

Oh, I hope they haven't quit signing autographs/meeting fans after shows.  I would really love to meet them just once.  I would be perfectly content with just once, but I would really like to meet them once.  My friend and I found our way to the tour bus after the Warner Theatre show last spring, along with a handful of other people, but were similarly turned away by security.  And there was definitely no getting near the bus after Shamrock Fest (which I totally understand, with the rowdiness of the event).  I'm disappointed to hear that it's been the same for other D.C. shows.

Gaelic Storm will never, ever compare to GBS, but I have to say, it's really cool to have the opportunity to meet them after their shows.  I've been to two shows, and both times they've announced that they would stay afterwards to meet fans/sign autographs/take pictures.  The second show had approximately 1,000 people in attendance, but they said we'd been such a great crowd, they would stay afterward until everyone got everything they wanted signed.  I couldn't believe they announced that.  I was very impressed.

 Of course, I totally understand that GBS draws bigger crowds (I think the Warner seats 2,000 - although there were just 15-20 people who found the tour bus), and I'm sure they're often exhausted/have to run off someplace else.  Still, I really do hope that they'll decide to sign autographs after some D.C.-area show.  I would really love to meet them just once.

Edit: Never mind that! I've got all 12 I hoped for!!!! Now I won't have to shun my friends to the back of the theater!

No tears from me. I'm fully aware I'm a ticket snob with generally amazing luck and every once in a while it needs to run out or else I'll just get entitled (more entitled).

 

Thanks for the effort GBSAdmin -  definitely great to see the quick response! (unfortunately I won't sit back that far unless I'm on an aisle because I can't ever see. I'll probably get lawn seats eventually) :D Hopefully GBS will be around in NYC this summer as well.

 

(ETA: I'm full of it, btw, cause I totally just bought a set. I'll probably have been better off waiting in the long run, but oh well). 

We have just added 100 more tickets for the orchestra and 50 more tickets for the lawns.

For anyone who has gotten tix already, is there a special request section?  I was hoping to request seats out of the path of the speakers because of my migraines, which can be triggered by loud noise.  I've had migraines after concerts where I was too close to/right in the line of the speakers.

After you pay, there's a "comment" box to fill out, but I don't know if that'd actually affect anything. At this point, one would think you'd be too far back for speakers to affect you (it's up to row U now), but if they do, I'll trade with you. I should be deaf by now anyway. :D 

Thank you.  That's so nice.  I'm thinking you're right, though -- I'll be too far back at this point.  After I thought about it, I realized I would probably not be very close and decided to just take my chances and buy the tickets.

I had an overnight sleep study at Johns Hopkins, so didn't even get to try the pre-sale tix until 12:15.  Got them right away, but now the tix are A-U.  My comment was that, in the last pre-sale, I ended up next to 6 people who got their tickets 2 weeks before the show.  I was NOT happy.  This time, I bought the pre-sale tickets, but I'm going to see what ticketmaster offers when they go onsale that way.  If I get better tickets that way, then I won't even bother with the pre-sale anymore.  It sounds like they weren't really better prepared this time than they were last year.  *shrug* 

Nevertheless, Wolftrap is a great venue, and I look forward to the show, whichever seats I get. :)  Hmm.  Which shirt to wear...

I'll probably do the same thing... I have a bad habit of buying tickets and then buying better ones and giving the worse ones away. I can't ever bring myself to sell them unless it's at cost to friends. I do love Wolftrap though. I haven't been inside for a show there since the last time the Smothers Brothers played.

Has anyone gotten their tickets yet?  I haven't received any email or actual tickets and ir's been almost 4 weeks.

I have 2 extra tickets for sale.  My sis and bro-in-law can't make the drive down from Ontario.  I did purchase them pre-sale so they are within rows A-L but since I haven't received them yet I don't know the exact row. My email is lreading_2000@yahoo.com if anyone is interested.
