we're flying up from Texas just to see the show.  Does anyone know if they're going to have an opening act?

Just read the set list from the show in Mass. last night.  Awesome set.  GBS, if you're reading this - use that list in St. Louis!  In particular, the kids say start with Donkey Riding!

Woo hoo!  Less than a week!

 

 

I hope we have a big crowd!  This is our first GBS concert.

I assumed as much from the listing on the Tour page, but just popped over to the Pageant's page and see that the show is labeled with the lovely magic words "An evening with" -- meaning no opener. For GBS, this usually means they play two full sets.

Not sure on that.  I went back into TicketMaster this afternoon and was still able to have ordered seats pretty close in sets of both 2 and 4.  Hopefully, a bunch of the GA tix sold.

Even if not, I heard it was a small crowd last time, but the boys still put on a terrific show.  It's our first show too, and we're very excited.

D'oh - forgot to mention the other cool thing I discovered on the Pageant's website:

"Don't miss THE ELMS in the HALO BAR immediately following GREAT BIG SEA! FREE! 21+"

I haven't seen The Elms live yet, but Carbon Leaf recommended them after they played a couple gigs together recently, so I took a listen & liked. Should be a good pairing.

I can't wait!  Small crowd is fine by me, as long as it's energetic.  Sounds like the venue will be a peach.  I've never been to St. Louis before, but am bringing some friends who live there to the concert; it will be a first time for all of them.  So bring on the vertical movement!

I haven't really been to St Louis either. My inside source says the Pageant is nice and in a newly revitalized with plenty of dining and shopping.

We'll bring plenty of noise and enthusiasm with us.  Flying up on Sunday morning; got the hotel/tickets package.  Newfoundland t-shirts arrived yesterday.  Taking Monday off.

 Oh, yes.  It's like a second adolescence for us :)
