GBS twice in a weekend!  That was absolutely amazing!

Didn't get to see the end of the set b/c my friends wanted to stake out some good space in the tent where Gaelic Storm was playing.  It was their first time seeing GBS, and they were VERY impressed.

Was nice seeing those I got to say hi to up in altamont.  It really was an awesome weekend.

I felt bad... I spoke to Sean at the end of the night, before he got on the bus, in NY City, and when he came out on stage in Alamont, he looked like he waved to me.

Now my wife is jealous of me.

    Grrrr.... I won't comment.

Here's a few pics. Unfortunately, no good Murray ones.

Far less people at this festival compared to Ottawa. Greenwich Meantime put on a good show prior to GBS. We staked out about 25 feet direct from the stage (again, far less people than Ottawa). I talked with a Mother/Daughter that had seen GBS in Gander, and traveled from Boston for this show.

Then GBS took the stage. GBS seemed to want to pack in as many songs within the 1.5 hours. That was greatly appreciated! The venue acoustics were weak but the boys performed well. Worth the travel from southern CA.

A Dad put his daughter on his shoulders 10 feet direct in front of the stage when GBS took the stage. I still had a good view, but would have been pissed if I were behind the Dad/daughter blockage. Seemed a bit inconsiderate.

Sorry for the late post... long story.

Anyhow, delighted to see the Boys on my home turf at Irish Fest.  The sound system was great, the Guiness cold and the lads were in full voice.  Fantastic show!  Great mix of old and new.  I've been a fan since the 90's when I lived up on the Canadian-NY border, and have seen 3 concerts to date.

But, what was so cool... from the crowd response, I'd guess maybe 20% had actually heard GBS before.  (I think they were killing time until Seven Nations came on.)  I so enjoyed watching these people who were mostly first time listeners really get into the music.  They'd listen to the chorus the first time, then belt it out thereafter.  The set ended with this packed tent screaming GREAT...BIG...SEA for an encore.  They "converted" many new fans.  Well done!
