All sent, let me know if it works.

Thanks. Did you e-mail it? Haven't got it yet, but it might just be that the attachment, which I'm sure is pretty good-sized, is moving slowly. I'll keep you posted. Thanks again.

Yep I sent it this morning!  I hope you get it.  It took a few minutes to send though?   gk2zno is my main email address.

My son is in the photo too!  He's wearing the white plaid shorts top right.

What an awesome show!  Thank you Great Big Sea!  My first time seeing them live and it was great.  My teen son and pre-teen daughter need to lighten up and learn how to "not be embarassed" by mom dancing and having a good time.  They had fun though.  Our extra tickets didn't go to waste as we brought my sister in law and my neice and they're now fans!  The seats were excellent!  Better than I thought they'd be.  Up close was NICE!

I got Gallow's Pole, Belong & Walk on the Moon as a zip file when I bought the album from this site.  Awesome song.

Thanks for the great shows boys! Hope you got that bar tab paid off at the Ark!

Yay!!!!  You have no idea how happy I am to hear that. My heart was breaking thinking 2 tickets with my name on them were sitting empty. Anyone who goes to a GBS concert leaves a fan for life!

So glad you had a great time!

Phoebz, I love the picture. It's my friend in green behind Alan. We were sitting right behind you. Is it ok if I forward the picture to her? It was fun seeing your little girl again with the rest of your family. I enjoyed watching their reactions. How did their class pictures go today?-- It was a great show! My ears are still ringing and I can still hear and see them singing in my mind. Favorite things were seeing all of the great fans from last year, meeting Alan before the show, Gideon Brown, Alan keeping my dollar coin, Alan sitting in front of us, Bob's solo, etc. I could go on and on. After the show, I got one of the stage hands to give me Alans set list. I think I got the better of the deal - Alan has my dollar coin and I have his list. I'm not sure how to post a picture of the actual list, so here is what it said: - SET ONE: TONIGHT, WHEN, PADDY, CONS. FREE, ENGLAND, GIDEON, HARD CASE, KIDD, HERE & NOW, BOB SOLO, FOOLS, RUN. SET TWO: DONKEY, KING, LONG LOST, SHINES, SCOLDING, Request, DREAM, NO CARES, MARI, ORDINARY, MOON, BLACK, GALLOWS, HELL. I have a nasty few days of work, so when I get a chance I'll post some pictures of the show. I hope everyone had as great a time as I did. Awesome show! Sue

I'll send you the bigger picture via email for you to send her if you'd like :)   I'm impressed that I had a sense of mind to take the picture and so will gladly share the fun.

Amazingly, the kids were all ready for school and picture day at 7:15 am.  We were going to let them skip the bus and drive them to school (which would buy us 45 minutes), but the eldest got up and woke the other two and they were all set to get on the bus. Ah, youth! The husband and I weren't so ready to go this morning...thank goodness for coffee!

Thanks so much to you and the others who offered to help me out. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Great Big Sea and its fans are the best.

Hey I'm in that picture too...barely, but I am! If you look in between the guy in red & the chick in red taking a picture you'll see me in a blue t-shirt & jeans. I have "walking pneumonia" but I had to go to the show, and when I got there and saw that left section row c actually meant left section front row I nearly fainted. Allan looked right at me and smiled during The Night Pat Murphy Died, I smiled even bigger at him and his smile got bigger too...best birthday present ever!!!

    Re: GBS at Ann Arbor

Last night was so much fun!  It was my second time seeing GBS, and I hope I have the opportunity to see them many more times!  It was a great set list too (thanks for posting it!)--so many of my favorites.

I was so happy when during the crowd sing-along portion they played "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)."  I love the Proclaimers, so it was really cool hearing another of my favorite bands play their song.

Hello to my XanEdu friend too!!  It was really nice talking with you at Conor O'Neill's afterward (and on the sidewalk).

    Re: GBS at Ann Arbor

Interesting what I read about the sound. This is my 8th or 9th time seeing GBS over many years and I thought it was one of the better GBS concerts I have seen sound-wise. I was in the 8th row way over on the right (Stage Bob) and it was not so loud that I needed earplugs (as I have in the past when in front of the PA!) and I could understand just about everything said and sung. It really was an amazing show. Like someone else mentioned, it's getting to the point where they have such a big repetoire that you're wishing they could play 4 or 5 sets to get all your favorites in! I did get a few pictures and may try to post a couple later. They're okay (but certainly not as great of the one of Audience Alan!) but someone might like them...

One of my favorite things my husband has done in the past is to create a CD of all the tunes in set list order. Whenever possible he uses a live version and it makes you feel like you're back at that particular show. Getting Bob's accordion solo might be tough -- but you never know -- You post something on this board and SOMEone is bound to have it! So, for those like me who like a full set list, here you go:

    SET 1
Entry music - Banks of Newfoundland
    Love Me Tonight
    When I'm Up
    Night Pat Murphy Died
    Consequence Free
     *Ark Discussion*
    England
    A Boat Like Gideon Brown
    Hard Case
     *Sing-a-long* Men at Work's "Overkill"
    Captain Kidd
    Here and Now
Portuguese Waltz (Bob - instrumental solo on accordion)
    Company of Fools
*Sing-a-long* I Fought the Law, 500 Miles, Bohemian Rhapsody
    Run, Run Away

    SET 2
    Donkey Riding
    When I Am King
      *Elections/One Dollar Coin Discussion*
    Long Lost Love
    Everything Shines
    Scolding Wife
Hangin' Johnny (My favorite verse, "Well, I couldn't find my singer...He's a real hum- dinger!")
    Dream to Live
    Sea of No Cares
    Mari-Mac
    Ordinary Day

    ENCORES
    Walk on the Moon
"I Happen to Know..." (great ad-lib ditty outlining A2's finer points!)
    Old Black Rum
Gallows Pole (Robert Plant has NOTHING on Sean McCann!)
    Straight to Hell

Thanks to all who participated and made it such a great crowd to be in! How cool is it that the boys chose A2 as the official opening of the FF tour?!?!?!

I don't know what happened with my previous post.  When I wrote it, there were paragraphs.  I posted and didn't read it until now.  I really don't type run-on sentences.  I don't know how to fix it.  Sorry.

Phoebz - If you could send me a bigger picture, that would be great.  My e-mail is irishgal748@yahoo.com.  Thank you.     I am amazed that your kids were up early.  By the time I got home this morning, it was around 1:45am.  Went to bed then got up at 8 to take care of my mom and the house then went to work until 9:30 tonight.  Ugg.  Being a bit tired is a good trade off for being at the concert!  Off to bed now and hopefully I can post pictures tomorrow.

    Peace,

    Sue

    Re: GBS at Ann Arbor

The guys were fantastic as always.  They really seem to be having a blast on this tour.  This was the 3rd time we've seen them in the past 3 months.  We had 3rd row center. (We were the ones that refused to sit at a GBS concert)   My 3 friends and I chatted with Alan for about 45 minutes before the show while he was drinking some coffee *trying to wake up*.  Thanks, Alan, for being so super cool!  No more shows for us until the cruise :(  See you then!

My concert photos turned out terrible b/c I didn't bring our good camera (too big to sneak in), but here's my faves.  Cheers, Lisa

The Great Big tour bus.  Quite the spectacle.  It was parked across from our parking structure.

    Re: GBS at Ann Arbor

Just wanted to thank everybody who wrote reviews of the show!  It was fun to read about it even if I couldn't be there this time ... as it turned out, it was a good decision not to buy tickets for a concert on my due date.  I worried about being uncomfortable, but I didn't think I'd actually be giving birth at the time!  My son was born at 9:40 that evening.  :)

Well, here you go.  It took me a while and a couple of tries to upload since it's a rather large file.  Sorry about the camera click in the middle, my camera does that when you take a snapshot while recording a video.
