I'm greedy.  I want the big GBS box set biography, AND an Alan Doyle autobiography.  Please.
Since you're being greedy anyway, why not ask Alan to sign his autobiography at a book signing immediately before or after a concert.  Maybe even in Halifax.

G.C. weekend P2, many laughs and seems Alan wants to add anticipation for their new cd by saying, "There are a few numbers on this recording that are unlike anything we’ve ever done." Dag-Nabbit Its getting harder and harder to wait!!

    PS "Oh Canada" Indeed

Not only is the man talented, witty, intelligent....and not bad to look at either, he's quite the writer too..... I laughed out loud at the "touching the Grey Cup and Anne Murray in one weekend.Oh Canada" comment.

Alan writes to you on his way home from the NYC show at the Bowery. He's getting excited about the upcoming cruise and hopefully you are, too!

But the thoughts of a floating music festival where we’ll get the chance to do our own stuff but more importantly, jam with everyone else, tickled my fancy, for sure.

The cruise sounds like a blast, I'm sure the B'ys and the guests are going to have a great trip.

Now if only I could figure out who was having this private gig in Whistler.... and how to get me an invite......

"Most of the kind folks who paid to see us at the Bowery would have no idea that the gig was, in part, a showcase event for a conference that was on going in the Big Apple.  The delegates of this conference are all buyers for the major theatres and concert venues in North America, and the Sunday night show was a chance for GBS to get in front of a bunch of them at once.  Smart planning by manager Louis and US agent Brian, I figure.  Hope they were all impressed and hire us to play all over the place."

Well I hope the delegates were as impressed as us "kind folks."  The show was amazing, thanks so much!

I loved when he talked about his little boy. Does he ever sound like a great Dad or what? Henry is one lucky little boy!

    Re: Alan's From The Road!

I really enjoy reading Alan's road journals.  I hope that he posts some from the Ships and Dips cruise.  I asked him about it one evening, and he said he was working on some.  I've been checking each day...........

You know you've made it when your presence is requested by the man who's having his jersey retired.

I honestly loved seeing Alan's face in that video - the delight and the boyish giggle when meeting one of HIS Heroes.  He "gets it", and that is good, and very endearing.

Kissed the grail, met Anne Murray... and now...THIS...!shades
