My SB today is my daughter graduated from high school.  She wanted to drop out of school (her senior year) last October and we were fortunate enough to find a private school right away which she agreed to try.  Many trials and tribulations getting her to go to school and then they allowed her to go virtual.  Then more effort pushing her to do the work on line.  She is bipolar and also has O.D.D. so she's not the easiest teenager to deal with (that's putting it mildly).  After a lot of heartache she finished and graduated and we are so happy and proud of her.  YAHOOO!!!!!!!!!

Okay, so as not to confuse anyone, the first part of this post is not SB!

Thanks to a friend of my daughter's, she and I were given the lovely gift of head lice. Yeah, not beautiful! BUT, now the SB; my sister. She went and bought a head lice treatment for us, and then helped comb thru Chelsea's hair (thick, and past her bum) for nits and bugs. She was here for hours while we did this, and it was her first day off in weeks. She could have chosen many more enjoyable ways to spend that day, but she stayed here helping us.

So, the love of sisters is SB indeed. Thanks Tee.

Thanks so much for all the congratulations! My husband and I are slowly adjusting to life as a new family, feeling tired but very happy.

My SB today is my mother and my parents in law who have been round helping out with all sorts of jobs around the house, enabling us to focus on our daughter- I'm not sure how we would have coped without that support!
 

Parents are indeed something beautiful!!

My SB* for today is much more materialistic that I really am...it's Rock Band.  Thanks to a friend I finally convinced DH that would should get an xbox 360 and rock band.

Took the boy to the store without telling him why we were going...

I saw a little boy's brain melt today and it was awesome!! 

We've played and sang together as a family all afternoon and it's been awesome. Now, if only there were a GBS song or twenty on there....

Lots of beautiful things happening here now. Having a fantastic summer here, though I don't know where my time is going. Last night I took an unexpected trip up north to one of our reserves, and spent an hour driving through some of the most gorgeous scenery around here. Had a great visit and a few drinks with some friends. And today I found out my schedule was changed and ended up with an extra day off, so I spent my entire day outside and took the most rugged (clumsy) walk of my life. Saw some great scenery, sat in a Wendigo tree, almost killed myself balancing on a rock for good luck, and saw the site of a "Dolls Masacre". The trail was 4.4 km long, but it was mostly up hill and rocky, and it was fantastic (despite two spills to the ground and a bloody, dirty leg)! I am completely exhausted, but I saw things I never knew existed, and only 15 minutes from my house. And that is a beautiful thing.

My something beautiful was walking in the door to the voice of my 3 yr old niece leaving a message for me and reciting her phone number!!!!! Grabbed the phone real quick!!!!!! And she let me know that yes Auntie I need a new bathing suit, mine is too small!!!!Guess I'll be doing some sewing this weekend and making her something beautiful!!! LOL
