My SB* today is just life in general, I guess.  I hit 17 years sober yesterday (kinda like having an extra birthday, only you remember all the parties!) and I kind took a look at everything.  It's been quite a year for us, but right now everyone's reasonably healthy, we all have work for our hands to do(this was important to my grandmother) and we have our beautiful new puppy Molly, a soft-coated wheaten whose picture will make its debut here very soon!  Even business is good - I love sewing and I've decided that the more customers under 5'4" that I cultivate, the better - lots of pants and skirts to shorten!  Working on a wedding dress right now that's gonna be fabulous.

So, my SB* must be that I've got to be one of the blessed and luckiest people I know - right down to my lovely tickets that arrived yesterday for GBS in NYC, and my seats were exactly where I wanted them! Of course, life isn't perfect, but quite good,  and if someone could persuade the Good Lord that I wouldn't totally waste the money if I won the lottery, I'd be grateful.

My SB today was holding Alec, my 5.5 pound "nephew" on his first day home from hospital.  A bit early but nothing too serious, he's doing well now and is perfect, just like every other newborn.  He's my 'nephew' because he's the son of good friends.  My husband's an only child and I have a brother who has shown no signs of having a family, so I make my own extended family.

today something beuatiful happened to me. I went to the store and picked up Gaelic Storm's new album, "What's the Rumpus?" Lucky for me there was only one left. When I say that this album is fantastic. I would say it's an understatement. Each listen is definitely a  thing of beauty

My SB* was a happy husband. He is working with his boss this week and it is SO different form his last boss. DH has a great time with this boss and they get a long really well. He is also the golden boy because he out sells everyone else in the district so that helps :)

 

Its just so nice to see him come home from working with his boss and have a smile on his face!

I have many SB* our truck which is in the shop getting fixed AGAIN... will cost $600 LESS then first quoted... I have front row seats to the Edmonton and Calgary shows... and as I said on Twitter... that is not just a silver lining (some people know I have had better days lately) that is indeed the whole sky... I have great friends... and a wonderful family... SB* indeed... I'm gonna go count my many blessings now!!!
