Re: King Alan: All About Alan Doyle
I wonder, I just wonder if those involved feel better now. Are you happy? Validated? Vindicated? Victorious? Are you satisfied yet? Can we move on to another topic now? If not, let me know when y'all have let go of this obsession. Or, give me a nudge once the vigilante flys-on-the-wall buzz off. Many, many of us have met/spoken to the guys in various places near and far from our and/or their homes. Some have asked for autographs, some pictures, some neither. I have met and spoken to all the guys, as have many other fans. I can tell you FOR SURE that they are all grown men, who not only know how to, but have the right to choose how to, conduct themselves with fans and neighbours. Personally, I'm sick of this ongoing public bickering between Bonnie and Krista. The horse is dead. Please, stop. Where's the love people?

Consider it done. I really don't like the fighting anyways. You make a good point TinaMack.

Re: King Alan: All About Alan Doyle
Call me wierd. After the Private show on Friday, we could have stayed at the Pub and waited for a few moments with the guys, but we didn't. We left the Pub and went elsewhere for post-show food and drinks. it didn't seem to matter much - maybe cause I have met them all a few times, maybe because I had my request sung, maybe because I felt other fans deserved their chance.... Afterwards I kinda wished i had stayed - but I don't regret for a minute that we didn't. I had had a few bevvys and could easily have made a fool of myself in front of Alan. And I NEVER want to do that! He was gracious enough on stage, and they were all exhausted. I was fully satisfied with them "leaving it all on the stage".

Re: King Alan: All About Alan Doyle
Heh. I saw Alan in St. John's last time I was there. Just on the street. He didn't seem to see me noticing him, and he wasn't alone, so I just scurried by - didn't really feel like intruding, since it was very clear he was on his own time there. 'Course, felt a twinge of regret (wanted to tell him how I loved the released tracks off the new CD), but all in all, I think I made the right choice.
But I will say this - he looked HAWT ;) All kinda tousled and unshaven. Mmm, Casual Doyle. My new favorite flavour ;)

Re: King Alan: All About Alan Doyle
You know, when one speaks rudimentary French, that number becomes SO DAMN INAPPROPRIATE :-P ETA: And, speaking of languages - and so as not to forget the topic of this discussion - Alan thinks the sexiest word ever is "hubsche." Which is German for "cute." (I may have spelled it wrong.) So feel free to use it in his presence, or paint it on a sign at a concert or something :)

Ya, if you're calling 1-800-hot-chat in french and expecting to get Alan, you're gonna be very surprised. As for hubsche, the husband hasn't yet forgiven me for making kissy faces with Alan that night (but it was all worth it :) I can just imagine what it must have looked like to others across the room who happened to glance our way.

Re: King Alan: All About Alan Doyle
Well, I have no idea what the context for that story is, but, WOW, to think there's a sexiest word ever and it's not: "that's hawt".

Re: King Alan: All About Alan Doyle
Heehee, the context was Hugh's Room after the Oysterband concert. Alan was remarkably poised while surrounded by a bevy of over-excited women in various stages of inebriation. I think at some point, the word "blowjob" came up (as in Happy Steak & A Blowjob Day), then sexy foreign languages, then Alan said he thinks the sexiest word is "hubsch" (thanks for spelling, YS! and apologies to the omitted umlaut) because when you say it, you have to make a kissing face. Feels more like a fish face to me, but then again, what do I know. (It looked cute when HE did it.) But it was kinda fun, the bunch of us standing around with Alan, all of us saying "hubsch" over and over with exaggeratedly extruded lips. Fran's right, someone across the room would have been very confused as to what we were all doing.
Personally, I think the sexiest word ever is "bratwurst." But that's just me.

Re: King Alan: All About Alan Doyle
I think he specified that he loved it because you have to practically kiss yourself to say it.

I so agree with you. Promo pics are nice, so are concert pics, but nothing compares to the real thing! :)

The prince is officially two. It's now 2 pm in NL, the exact time he was born two years ago, Wow, where has the time gone?
