So my friend Cara and I are putting together a scavenger hunt for our Canadian friend's birthday who introduced most of us to GBS. We are leading him all over campus and downtown Olympia. Each clue will have a GBS song title in it,  but I need help writing the clues. Here's what we have so far...

The Story of 777: On March 7th, I saw my first Great Big Sea Concert. 7 months later on October 7th, I saw my second Great Big Sea Concert. I call it fate!

The Birthday is on Oct 23rd. so we need to have it all done by the 20th. The best part is that we're hiding his tickets to the Olympia concert under his cake in a plastic sleeve. It will be epic! Any helpyou can offer would be appreciated!

Loula, I don't have any advice at the moment, but what a great idea!!  We are having a 50th birthday party for my older brother on the 23rd, that was supposed to be a surprise but we had to let the cat out of the bag due to visitation schedules for his kids being changed when his ex decided to move four hours away!  I am scanning pictures onto the computer to put together a powerpoint presentation.

Your scavenger hunt sounds like sooo much fun  - hope you get everything put together!

The scavenger hunt went off w/o a hitch, it was perfect. And the cake was full of win here's a pic:

I decorated it myself, the duck is an inside joke, and the frosting was made with 16 oz. of maple syrup a pound of butter and six egg yolks, it was divine.And there are concert tickets to the Olympia GBS show hidden in a tin in the middle of the cake! Best. Cake. Ever.
