Hello all. Just joined up today. I can't get enough of Great Big Sea's music. Got almost all of their albums and I just started listening to them a few months ago. I really want to go see them in concert but I live in small town Iowa and they don't come around here too often.

as far as i know, they're heading to iowa.  maybe if they're near a city close to you, you could check it out.  if you think GBS are great, then you'll love them in concert

 

You willing to travel? They're playing Milwakee tomorrow night and in Illinois Friday and Saturday.

No "small town Iowa" whining, please!  (I escaped years ago!)

They just played at UNI this past Spring and were in Ames the year before.  Plenty of opportunities on a fairly regular basis, considering they have virtually no following in Iowa.   If they played more Boston or Van Halen, then maybe.... Ha!   Couldn't convince ANY of my Iowa friends to take a chance and go see a great band.  Sigh!

yeah i havent had a chance to escape yet. I just got into them only a few months ago so i didnt know about the other shows nearby. hope they do swing around here again sometime soon. lol and boston kinda makes we wanna puke

Cant wait to see them in concert. They always pick me up when im having a bad day. Can only imagine the musical high i would get from seeing them live
