    Westhampton Beach PAC

No review yet, although I did take notes on this one. Had a balcony seat. It was a night of forgotten words and chords...Bob sang the last verse of Excursion for Alan. We joined the b'ys in their "End of the Tour Party." I think they'd started well before the show. We were treated to Let It Go, "Bob and Alan were feeling gay" and Bob sauntered over to the mic and smooched it while looking at ALan, Murray's "performance enhancing drug" is bourbon, "England is where people ended up when they couldn't make it to Westhampton Beach," lots of banter, the most I'd ever heard. I think they are truly ready to go home. 21 days on the road was way too long this time. Bob was very dancey, Kris was very drummy, Alan very giggly. And the oddest description of GBS I've ever read on the poster at the PAC-

"Part Irish Rovers, Part AC/DC" FTW?!?!? Craziness!

Sounds like an equally crazy show. Can't wait for the review. Did any one get a set list?

    Peace, Love, and GBS,

    Re: Westhampton Beach PAC

One of the best shows I've been to and this following Tarrytown which also has that distinction !!!  The B'ys were just hilarious and any flubs were that much more fun.  Their songs were dead on and rocking and I got to see two songs live for the first time...Let It Go and The Mernaid Song.  The family in front of me were new to the band and it was fun watching their reaction to the Mermaid Song and Scolding Wife lol ! They also seemed to enjoy how much the fans enjoy the band which was very kind considering I acidentally pounded one of them on the head as the B'ys came on. Of course they were on their feet by nights end !

As always another great part of the show is seeing OKP friends and meeting new ones. As always It was great seeing Chiarascurra, BetRx, TinaCap, NJ Pirate  (and Mrs.) , Saxygirl (so did you put on the Ritz? Hope it's feeling better), and a wave to Anne from Philly up top.  A pleasure to meet you GreatBigSeaford. Saw ya boogeying !! Wish we had more time to chat. Ah well.

As always with post GBS concerts I'm wired and beat and wondering why I wear heels when I know I'm going to have a dance and make some noise all night ??!!  Off to a foot soak !!

Great show, great friends...a perfect night.  Icing on cake?  "Old Brown's Daughter" with THE GOUT VERSE!!!!   I have never felt so pulverized in my life!

On this Canadian Thanksgiving Day (the day the Pilgrims met the hockey players?), thank you, Great Big Sea, for your music.  Not only is your music wonderful and uplifting, but it has introduced me to some really great people, and has been a cause for so much enjoyment in my life!   Please keep on doing what you're doing!  Big Smile

Oh yes I also remember Sean mentioning Kentucky Fried Chicken and Alan said do you know what they call that in Kentucky ? ......fried chicken !

There was a low note during the show that I recall now......when Sean told Alan his hair smelled good and my beverage shot out my nose...thanks Sean !

Hey Seaworthy:  Thanks for the love.  The ankle is feeling a lot better but still pretty darn gross looking. This is what happens when you have too much fun with that darn Headless Horseman.  Ha!

What a fantastic weekend!  Can't wait for the next time they're out this a-way. I've never smiled so much in my life!

    Re: Westhampton Beach PAC

Fun night in a great venue. Before the show Margaritas was hopping with great food and drink. At the break between sets I snuck back across the street for a beer and to watch my Yankees beat the Twins. The bar was deserted except for a couple of tourists from Poland!!!!, I told them to come across the steet and join the party, I don't know if they did!!!...Great to see you Seaworthy, yes I do love to dance my butt off at GBS shows!!!...Nice to see you too, Betty, Skaircrow and the rest of the OKP buds. I hope they come back to Long Island soon. Fun show!!!.......................Joh
