Really. Once upon a time Olympia beer was brewed with water from the amazing artiesan well we have under our lovely city; but now its brewed in Texas and not worth the effort of opening the can.

There is however an awesome little brewery called Fish Brewing Co. and its adjacent Fish Tale Brew Pub. Fish Tale is known around town for it's organic ales. They also have well priced kegs for parties (get one backstage boys, you'll thank me! ) I recommend the Trout Stout! The food is pretty good too, especially the Garlic Parmesan fries.

There's The Spar, a McMenamins Brewpub that has cool artwork and artifacts about Olympia's history. Wagners has awesome partires, and the state capitol is gorgeous, well worth a tour! Hot Toddy is a favorite shop of mine, vintagey clothes, jewelry and accesories.
