How do I get on an email list to be notified of new presale concerts?

 

It just kills me to fly to Clayton last week for GBS then return to San Diego and find that they are playing 15 miles away in November – but the presale is sold out.  Come on now, give a fan a break!

I joined the email list.  Now trying to get tickets somehow...

If it makes you feel any better, I think that they just announced that show earlier this week. You wouldn't have known about it any farther in advance anyway. I'm a San Diego native and never saw them closer than LA. Good to know that they're playing locally now.

I first saw GBS at the Belly Up about 6 years ago(?).  And it did not sell out! 

A fellow fan let me in on the secret- Pollstar.com has concert dates listed before they are officially announced.  The SD and LA dates were on there for weeks, as was the Petaluma show.  The Santa Cruz and Santa Ana shows weren't announced there, though.  Being in the bay Area I was really holding my breath on that one.  I considered going to teh LA show, but I wasn't sure how I could explain to the kids that we were going to drive to LA and not go to the Mouse House and they couldn't go to the GBS show. :)

Just bought a ticket for the Anthology and Galaxy (OC) shows.  Still thinking about the El Rey show but that is a long drive from San Diego.

Here's a tip for the all the West Coasters - US and Canadian - if you see GBS with tour dates on the west coast north or south of the border, you can pretty much figure more dates will be added in other cities.  It's a waste of time for them to come out to the West Coast and only play 3 or 4 dates.  When I saw the November dates in Washington state, I knew they were bound to add more concerts and hopefully in my home state.  Indeed now the dates in southern and northern California are added.  I bought tickets to Bremerton, WA which will be a great weekend getaway.  And am now thrilled to have tickets to the Santa Cruz show as well.  I don't think they've ever played in S.C. and I think the boys will get a kick out of that town.
