    Morris film

There's a film based around Morris dancing and of course the great music that goes with it, just starting the rounds here in the UK. I don't know if it will ever be available on DVD but unless there's enough interest it may never happen.  What a waste!  I personally think Morris dancing should open the Olympics.  There's a chance to vote on the film's circulation if you should so choose.

That looks really funny. I don't think I've ever seen Morris dancing before.

AAAAAIIIIIIIGH!  That's BRILLIANT!  We MUST get this film over here!  Boston is lousy with morris dancers.  They're all out of their ever-loving minds.  If my knees were more reliable I'd have been sucked in too.

A Scotsman says: this is sublime, what a great concept, and all done with a sense of humour (how else could you do it?).  And yes, the music is wonderful, I regularly entertain my hairy ceilidh band with morris tunes until they throw banjos at me - painful that.  Not much call for morris round these parts but it's great to see old traditions kept alive and up to date.  Gaun yersel'.

WELL DONE to All Ye who signed the petition Smile

Morris: A Life With Bells On is coming out on general release in the UK from September 27th, to be known hereafter as St Morris day.

I'm going to see it with a gang of us and one of our local Morris sides, Rampant Rooster, will be dancing outside the cinema before hand.  They've been invited to dance on stage inside before the film starts but that is yet to be decided.  Can't wait.....

So, who knows, maybe your signature did the trick.  Keep up with your morris tunes, Jonny!

In comes I, a feisty Yank!
My UK pals I'd like to thank
For getting this film to the screen...
But over HERE it must be seen!
