    From Across the Country

    Hi there!

I'm Kara, and I'm from the small town of Quesnel, about 8 hours North of Vancouver in British Columbia, Canada.   I've been a GBS fan ever since my parents started playing Up on roadtrips when I was little.  Sadly, I have only ever been to one concert about 7 years ago, but as I tell everyone who'll listen, someday I'll move to Newfoundland and enjoy as many concerts as I can.

Interesting fact:  I was actually in Vancouver when the bus crash happened; I remember watching it on Global news at my grandparents supper table, nearly having hysterics when Bob came on screen and spoke, and then begging someone to take me to the concert.  No one would, since we were getting on a plane in the morning.

Kara you are better off in BC where GBS concerts are concerned. In Newfoundland they usually play once a year, maybe twice, and only in St. John's. That's a 8-10 hour ride from Cornerbrook on the other side of NFLD. In BC you'd probably get several shows at least once a year, more likely twice. And can be close enough to Seattle/Portland to go to those too.

Yes, but it's an 8 hour drive to Vancouver, not to mention any Washington venues, and Vancouver seems to be the only BC venue they play here any more.  They did Prince George once, which is an hour and a half (and the concert I went to) but not since then.
