    Last week of US tour

What a ride this last week was.  I was lucky enough to be at Keene, Portland, and Lebanon.  I posted a review of Lebanon on the formal "show review" spot, but not sure if it will make it to the board.  I was in front 3 rows for all shows, and brought my kids to various performances.  They were lucky enough to get picks and drumsticks, and are now dedicated fans.  Lebanon particularly was a terrific show, with energy from both the band and the audience.  Keene was a great venue, with no limitations on movement from any of the ushers.  Consequently, there was lots of dancing, particularly on the part of myself and a friend, right in front of Murray.

Did anyone hear "Straight to Hell" or "Oh Yeah" at other points during the tour?  They didn't play it at any of these last shows, so was wondering if they played them at all.

Hoping they come back within striking distance, maybe to Montreal?

They did Straight To Hell in Boston (one of the encores) - it rocked! Cool

We too caught the Keene and Lebanon, NH shows during the last leg of the US tour.  Both were terrific; the Colonial in Keene is a livelier venue but the band was at its absolute best, all in high spirits on the tour’s final night in Lebanon (nice to see Sean smile, which we missed in Keene).   And isn’t it cool that they played to such enthusiastic crowds in so many swing—now mainly Blue—states during the last weeks of the presidential campaign?  For if ever there was a band whose motto could be “Yes We Can,” it’s Great Big Sea (Doyle for King indeed).   Thanks, guys, for sharing this amazing time with us—and may similar good fortune favor Newfoundlanders one of these days.  Come back often—and soon!

They played Straight to Hell in New York City in September.

You were lucky to hear it.  Got a set list from the Keene concert, and it was listed as the second song for the second encore.  But they switched it up a bit, and sang 3 traditional songs after "walk on the moon", and only did one encore.  So I guess I'll just have to wait to hear it live, and just be satisfied with blasting it in my kitchen!
