    Hi from Scotland!

Big hi's to everybody here!!  I have been a GBS fan since I first saw them support Runrig, many moons ago in Eden Court Theatre, Inverness.  And I was delighted that they were back in Scotland last summer at Beat The Drum, in Drumnadrochit, once more supporting Runrig.

I live in the Scottish Highlands, and joined here today so that I could buy Fortune's Favourite for my husband's birthday.  He detests the love of my life, Runrig, but absolutely loves GBS!!!

I hope to find lots of time to spend in here.

Welcome to the OKP! Both my husband and I saw RUnrig when they were here in NYC a couple years ago. Great show! I am especially in love with Bruce Guthro's voice. I knew who he was before he joined Runrig. I've gotten my whole family to see GBS several times. Good on you for converting your hubby.

    Welcome Aboard, Riggie!

I am originally from England (now in Colorado) and have been in the States for decades, but some of my cousins are from near Dundee.  I love visiting Scotland, esp the Highlands ( luv the shaggy "heeland coo" lol!).  The farthest up we've been is to places like Glen Esk, Lock Tummel and Loch Rannoch (sp?)  Lovely part of the world!

Anne (above) has played plenty of Runrig for me on road trips together, good stuff!

Glad you've joined the fun here!

Welcome!  I haven't been onboard here terribly long, as long as some, but in my abbreviated time I've met some great people, learned a lot, but certainly laughed a lot as well.

I look forward to your posts!

Hi Riggie, welcome to the OKP!

I'm always happy to find some new European faces here! So I hope you come around once in a while!

I can't exactly remember how many Runrig Concerts I've seen in the past. Been some ... I discovered GBS when they were touring with them in Germany. And they won me over right away! So, maybe we'll have some topics to converse?

    Welcome Riggie

My husband's family is in Aberdeen.  We haven't been back since we had kids but once the youngest is out of diapers we'll be back.

I haven't been around here long but I'll warn you: it can be addictive!!

I'll have to add Runrig to the list of music/musicians I've only heard of since joining the site.  Glad to have you around!

    Re: Hi from Scotland!

    Hi,

we were at the concert in Drumnadrochit.  We were actually there for family in Greenock and Gourock and Dalyr and I bought the tickets for GBS with no idea of where Drumnadrochit was.  I am so glad we went, even with the rain.

The next day we stopped at the green welly stop and heard about people still waiting at the concert for a tracter to pulll them out of the field.

Last month I started reading Outlander by Diana Gabaldon.  I can't believe how many places she uses in her book.  I would have paid a whole lot more attention
