    RIP The Independent

     Sorry to see it go. It was a valiant effort in a tough economy with lots of fresh thinking and opinions.

    Maybe, just like the Mary Ellen Carter it will rise again.

    It's already been raised from the dead once. DO you think it'd happen again? I know Sean will miss it for sure. And I will too, as a subscriber.

    Great idea, but a little pricey. I'll have to pass on this one. I really enjoyed the Independent though. Thanks for keeping us abreast of the times.
