Last year hubby and I made the trip to Winnipeg for the Juno's. I believe it was Delaney who said that Men in Kilts who were preforming at JunoFest where not to be missed. I must thank her as these guys put on a great show and even signed my autograph book. This year we are making the trip to Halifax. Already have our tickets to the Songwriters' Circle, I think that will be the highlight this year. I'm looking for suggestions on who to see and where to go for JunoFest Friday and Saturday night. There are so many artist playing it's hard to choose where to go. So great wise board members of the east coast who do you think we should see? Where is the best bar? And does anyone really know where the after parties happen? http://www.junoawards.ca/06_JWE_junofest.phpThanks Last year hubby and I made the trip to Winnipeg for the Juno's. Clarity is the big pusher of MIK here. I'd love to say that I've seen them, but I haven't yet been able to get into Shannon's and catch them... I'm having ID issues. That's really cool that you're heading out to Halifax! I don't think they'll compete with Winnipeg though (how is anyone gonna live up to that?). You're sure to have a great time. Halifax is a beautiful place even when not swarming with musicians. Please take photos and document for those of us who are, *ahem* missing the action.

Love, Columbine (well, OK, a bit of blood's nice now and then, so long as it's Jock Barley's)
Hey Columbine! Here's the link to their merch page. The cd is $15 CDN but they don't have payment online. But you are able to contact them via email if you want one!

Also, Ron Sexsmith is not to be missed! An amazing songwriter.
Thanks Layra Ron Sexsmith is at the songwriters's with Alan. This should be the best of the weekend except when GBS collects their first JUNO!!! Sorry if my type is full of errors but when I repky and type there are a bunch of funny lines not letters in the message box. When I post it it comes out with letters, but my typing isn't that good I need to see what I type. I'll check out Matthew Barber online to see if I can get a listen to his work Thanks agian CoCo

Oh, I second that. He's lovely... good music too. I just looked at the list - Matt Mays & El Torpedo are awsome; the Novaks did good at the ECMAs (I thought) but they had some... Language issues; The Barra MacNeils are good; I've heard Aselin Debison has a beautiful voice... Oooh, I'm really envious now. ETA: Are you catching the hockey game, by any chance? I see Cory Tetford is playing and I'm just gonna go cry in my beer now. Please, humour me and take lots of pictures and note his every move.

So... Like, did you happen to get any pictures of Cory in his hockey outfit? I'm going crazy with anticipation.
