to beard or not to beard..

To beard, or not to beard: that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler on the chin to suffer
The slings and arrows of the shanty man,
Or to take Razor against your chin pet,
    And by cream and metal end them? To itch: to scratch;
No more; and by aftershave to say we end

Ok now that i have indulged my inner drama geek to the matter at hand. All of us who have seen the first shows since the hiatus have seen it. For those that havent here is the best picture of my subject from the toronto show http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=2945199&l=2ae9a3a4af&id=502892693 . Some like it some love it some dont care and some like me are not a fan of this new furrier Alan. so i propose we poll simply copy and paste then add your vote. one vote only please and do feel free to add your editorial comment. No hanging chads though!

I must say, Alan is looking a little... scrawny!

The beard actually isn't that terribly horrible, but it would be nice to see his face!

On a side note, I like Sean's shirt.

Really, the beard again?  I was wondering when it would come up again :)

Either way, it comes with the man and the voice.  As long as it doesn't start interfering with the vocal cords I think we are ok LOL.

IMO, he looks handsome either way, but in some of those pics from the T.O. show it is starting to look a little wirey.

They do say with each movie you play in, you take on a little of the role yourself.  Maybe this is just not something he is ready to get rid of yet.  Or maybe he is waiting for the premier?

My thoughts exactly! Let the man have his beard if he thinks it necessary ....

OK - Here's my 2 cents. I tried tallying up and added my Meh vote. I could go either way. I like seeing his face more, but if he likes it - so be it. I'll stir the pot a bit though - no one has mentioned Sean's beard! Much less intense and scruffy than Alan's. I'd give that one a like-it vote.

Re: to beard or not to beard..

I am always put off when perfect strangers comment about someone's personal appearance, so this whole thread kind of annoys me.  Sorry if that upsets some of you.  The only people who should care or have reason to comment are their own loved ones.

But on the practical side, Alan may have to keep the beard for a while yet in case he's called back to re-shoot scenes for the movie.  That happens quite a bit in filming, I understand.

Plus,  winter's coming in Newfoundland.  A beard can be a handy thing.
