Hey Will...Damn right. What a bonus that GBS will be there! I love telling people that When I'm up is an Oysterband song. I've been looking forward to this show for 6 months. Should be a blast!

They didn't play east of Ontario. I guess it costs too much to travel.

I heard that the tour was suppose to start in NS but that date 'fell through'. They're used to touring Europe...probably thinking now 'Holy crap, Canada is big!'...they played Stan Rogers back in 03 or 04...probably be a while before they play the Maritimes again.

Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you Alan, for your recommendation of Oysterband March 27th.  The St. James Church in Vancouver was packed and jumping last night.  The Oysters were pretty chuffed that Vancouver was the only venue that had fans dancing and it was the last one on their tour.  Whether you were standing or sitting, there was allot of movement and clapping etc. and I have never seen that Church so packed.  What a night!!! The evening started shortly after 8:00 PM and we finally got out at 11:00 PM.

On their second encore, they came off the stage into the audience and with-out any amplification, they sang their final song and we all sang the chorus with them.  It reminded me of many GBS 2nd or 3rd encores.

I had no idea who they were or what their music was about, so here's to a new discovery and Alan, I am forever in your debt.  Thanks for keeping us all informed on your many chats.  Love hearing from you any time and just about anything- including the lousy weather.  How is your little guy doing?  You haven't talked about him lately.

I fan of GBS and now the Oysters.
