I missed it, I had even wrote it down as a reminder, i just didn't realize it was playing at 11 my time. Any chance there's an archive or something? I really would like to hear what Bob says. I bet it was great.

Thanks! Nice selection of songs. The show made Sunday morning in NYC a bit more interesting. I feel like I just got back from a little time travel to my ancestral home.

Thanks Bob!  That was very interesting.  I wish I could have my own copy to keep.  Any chance you guys would ever post it on your website like you did with Bob and Alan's other interviews?

Megs: Depending on when you read this, you might not be too late.  If you go on the CBC Radio 2 website (follow the links from the link in this news item) to listen to the piece online, you can listen to it in every timezone except NFLD, and it's time-adjusted to each timezone's local time.  So, if you're in Eastern Standard Time, it'll be on, for you, at 12:00 Eastern, 1:00 central, 2:00 mtn, 3:00 pacific.

That was a great broadcast.  I am such a Irish, Maritime, Scottish, Newfoundland, etc... folksong junkie.  Very interesting and collected a few more songs. :)  Loved the version of Lost Jimmy Whelan (or whatever the real title is), very haunting.

Loved the broadcast! Missed it the first time round so I settled myself on my couch and really just listened to the show! It was great to get more insight on the history of NFLD folk songs and you know it's really all just context. ;)

Missed it once, missed it twice.....Bob, is there any chance you could post it on your website as Stephanie has suggested? I would really like to hear it. I tried going on the CBC Radio 2 website but I didn't have much luck.
