I'm 17, I've never had as much fun in my life as I did last night at Great Big Sea in K-town! I went with my best friend who doesn't even like Noof music, Irish music, Folk, or Celtic music. She has been to many concerts and said that was by far the funnest of them all. These boys truely have an amazing ability to get people to do anything. My hands were numb when I came home from clapping. Please come back to K-town soon! I have a question does anyone at all know the song they play live that goes:
I will eat when I am hungry and drink when I am dry get drunk when I am ready get sober by and by
I would really like to know the name of it Thanks!

Last night in Kingston was amazing! I've been to three other GBS shows (including Bluesfest in Ottawa) and this one was the best yet.  I loved the mix of old and new songs and the shout out to The Hip was perfection.  I do hope though that Alan learns to count to 4 ;)  I always think that the sign of any excellent show is the inability to speak or hear after it. It's been 24 hours and my throat is still soar from singing along.  It was well worth the trip from Toronto to catch that gig!

CaptinKidd the song you're thinking of is The River Driver.

The show in Kingston was excellent.  This was number 4 for seeing GBS in concert for me.  I still contest that they are the most fun in a small venue. While the KRC is an excellent arena hands down the best GBS concert I saw was the Play Tour at Federation Hall at the University of Waterloo in '97.
Keep having fun boys.  Come back to Eastern Ontario soon.

Amazing show! This was my third time seeing GBS. I saw them a year ago in Toronto at the Grey Cup and we broke the stage then. Luckily there were no stage at the K Rock centre or we'd probably break that too. It never ceases to amaze to see the effect your music has on people. Come back soon, also make your way up to Petawawa some time we'd love to have ya.

I took my girlfriend and her 70+ year old mother to last nights show in hamilton. Both she and her mom were born in Nfld, her mom came from Ireland's Eye, a small Island off Bonaventure. I have never seen that lady smile so much in the 9 years I have known her. She even sang along to the old Newf songs. Thank you guys for putting on a wonderful show that truly is AN ALL AGES SHOW!!!

Really enjoyed the show in Hamilton.  Great to see Hamilton Place filled to the rafters with fans ranging in age from 5 to 85... a real big kitchen party.

Always enjoy the "coastal echo" in your music of the sounds of Guinchard, White, Benoit and others. "Where once they stood, you stand".
