New Songs from Chris Trapper

Great Big Sea's favourite American songwriter has just released a new CD. Chris Trapper's Songs from the Middle of the World (solo/acoustic rarities vol.1) is now available via his very cool new website.

"The man is a songwriting machine!" says Doyle. "I always wanted Chris to make a solo acoustic record and now its here", offers Bob. "I think he's just dreamy!", adds McCann.

Chris' writing skills will also be highlighted on the forth coming GBS record Fortune's Favour.

I have this cd myself - bought it when I saw Chris in Burlington last month.

It is FANTASTIC!

Chris has got a great voice and is a fantastic song writer... from the serious to the light-hearted.

Highly recommend picking it up and going to see a show if he's in your area.

He really can turn a phrase!  Love the CD -- A Day Without You and Letters are especially lovely.  Might want to also pick up Hey You,  while you're at it -- the guys do a nice backing vocal on In From the Outside.

Seems he has a special spot for GBS, too.  At the Burlington show he thanked GBS for the new floors he aquired after Sea of No Cares was a hit! Catch a show if you can -- you won't be disappointed and ya just might hear a song that you've heard before...plus he takes requests online and he does honor them!
