Great new song :) My eight-year-old, who is (also) a huge GBS fan, has declared that "This is their best song ever!" Thanks so much for sharing it.

Why not add to ilike on facebook.  That way the song can be sent to friends to arouse interest.
My speakers are against me, I'll listen as soon as I can tame them.

I love the bells!  So different from hearing it live, but still absolutely amazing.  I just can't wait for the new CD.  Any idea of when the single will be available on iTunes?  How about Facebook?

Thanks so much for sharing!  :)

Amazing new song. Another one to light up those dark moments of you're life. Another song to truely make you realize that it's good to be living and breathing.

Can't wait to see ya live again.

I also remember hearing this at a show last year when you came to Boston - I loved it then and love it now.  I think it jumped straight to the top of the list of possible GBS songs to play at my wedding next spring :)

Didn't like it that much; I absolutely ADORED the live version. Personally, I think they overdid it with the bells and everything, but that's just my opinion. I liked it a lot more with the guitars and fiddle. Again, that's just MY opinion.

Overdone is a good way to describe it.  It's too produced, too, if that makes any sense.  LOVE the live version.  Great, great song, just am not too enthusiastic about this version.

Great song...too many bells though. As soon as it started playing it had a "Christmas-y" feel to it...and when you're in the middle of spring, you don't want to be reminded of winter in any way, shape or form! Still...great song!! Really looking forward to the new album....

I heard it live in April last year in Iowa and I too have been DYING for it to come out.  I like the finished version (though the Boys' live stuff always has an amazing power)!  Can't wait to buy the album!

Come back to Iowa!!!

I fell in love with this song exactly a year ago this week, when I heard it on the Spring Tour....there is nothing like seeing and hearing it performed live; Alan feels his lyrics and it shows.  The studio version has a different sound to it, but it is still a lovely song with great lyrics....it makes me smile, it makes me cry, it makes me proud, it makes me humble, it speaks to me, just me and it reaches something in all of us.  What a great choice for the first single.

Why do I have a sinking feeling CBC will overplay this during the Olympics...

Hmmm, my husband just advised me that that didn't come out the way I intended.  I only meant that I fear CBC will use it so much people will tire of it and the song will lose its significance.  Which would be unfortunate.

Have to agree with Jason ~  Bells ? Too Overproduced !
       Looses it Full Impact

Definately prefer the original cuts on You Tube -

The absolute beauty & simplicy of the lyrics...
       the song composition with
Alan's powerful meaty voice POUNDING every word out
              from the heart   -

I love so much what it says about dreams & have NEVER heard it
presented so truthfully the struggle of the soul :

"Is it just me - or a message from above -
( Doubt of following your dreams  )
Bells are ringing & push to shove
( Your dream calling you- It's now or never)  ...
The door before me now is open just enought-
( Come Hither or will fear win out again )
& I'm sick & tired of waiting for dreams that never come
( So many other dreams never persued )
And games I never played in but still wished that I had won
   ( regret - meloncholy - woulda shoulda coulda )

I'm alive - I've got one shot & I'm taking it to you -
   ( YES ! I choose my dream !  )
I'm alive & I've come to realize - not a moment too soon
( thank God it's not too late )
This is my one SMALL step ... MY walk on the moon!
  ( Look at me - I did it - I fullfilled MY dream )

Touches my soul each time I hear it -
reminds me of when I went to Africa ~
before fullfilling the dream -
there is always the naughing question :

Will I die with this dream still stranded in my heart ?
The answer back to my soul was NO ... So glad I followed my Dream!

I Will just look VERY forward to a raw original live version of it    ( without the bells ) to be on a live CD sometime in the future.   Can't wait till the release & more touring  : )
