An absolutely AMAZING show tonight!!! The opening act was great too! ;o) It was a very pleasant surprise to see Murray on stage with GBS. The first time I saw GBS was 14 or 15 years ago in the arena at Queen's University when they were promoting their self-titled CD, and if memory serves Moxy Fruvous was part of that bill with the Philosopher Kings. A great start to a great career for all of you! Loved the new songs and looking forward to the new CD when this tour's over!

I missed the first few minutes of the Portsmouth show, but I am so glad I went. This was my 5th GBS concert and I have to say, the show never gets old! The music is always awesome and the banter between the guys is great. Not just a concert but a complete show! Hoping they will be back in the area this summer! Thanks for coming to New England! You guys give the best concert ever! Thank you!!!!!!

Alan, I enjoy your comments about the cities you visit, so I thought I'd tell you a brief bit about the neighborhood of Pittsburgh that you'll be visiting on Thursday...it's the South Side of Pittsburgh, and until about 25-30 years ago, it was primarily where the steelworkers lived; the steel mills were along the Monongahela River, just a few blocks from Carson St., where the Rex Theater is.

The South Side is divided into the flats (where Carson St., the Rex, etc., are) and the slopes - if you look up behind the Rex, you'll see the hilly area and the houses on the rather steep slopes.  If you have the time and energy, a walk up to the slopes is very rewarding...you can walk up 18th St., or look for the city steps, which are abundant on the slopes.  If you get up high enough, you're rewarded with some terrific views of the city and the rivers.

If you stay on Carson St., you'll see many, many bars and restaurants, and unique little shops...the street has changed quite a bit since the mills closed.  It's a great neighborhood for walking.

Pittsburgh also offers the Andy Warhol Museum (highly recommended and a 10-15 minute drive from the South Side, but you might not have time), lots of other museums, and many other interesting neighborhoods.  But even if you just stay on the South Side, you'll get a feel for our city.  Enjoy! See you Thursday!

My husband and I went to the show at the Orpheum in Boston.  It was our first Great Big Sea show and the man sitting next to us called us "Great Big Virgins"!  We had SUCH a phenomenal time!  The air was electric and since then I've been listening to the songs all the time and printing out the lyrics so I'll be ready to sing all of them the next time they come to town.

I'm also going to try to turn alot of my friends on to the band.  Keep up the good work, you guys are terrific!!

A GBS fan for many years, I was nevertheless a Moxy Fruvous fan first.  The Orpheum was the first GBS show I'd seen since Murray joined the group.  The show was phenomenal, and I had an unbelievable time, and I'll be back for more....but...I was just a little sorry there wasn't a little more Murray, maybe one or two of the songs he wrote while he was in Fruvous singing a little lead.  No matter.  Hope springs eternal for future shows, and I'll come to them all.
