Now that's just cool. A lot of people would have just kept on going, either because they wouldn't want to bother or because they'd have figured the owner had to be around somewhere. I'm glad you noticed Angel and had both the presence of mind and the heart to do something.

I could say something seriously fangirly about how you're not *old*. (I mean, surely you can't be, none of *us* are, and no that's not the sound of my knees creaking when I'm busy jumping up and down to "Ordinary Day", why do you ask?)

What a beautiful story, I don't know if I am sappy from such a late night last night... Great concert by the way. But it brought tears to my eyes that you would do that. So many people would just keep going. You truly are an "ANGEL" yourself. I chuckled about the little kid that answered the phone. My son I am sure would have done the same thing...

Thank you so much for the picture yesterday and the kind words. It was a little dark darn IPHONES!! But it's still a picture. Almost missed our TRAIN. Who knew the last train leaves at 12am!! But we caught it!!

Amazing concert in Edmonton! It was my friend's first time seeing you and he was amazed. I last saw you at Rock Island in my hometown of Fort McMurray, a completely different setting from the Jubilee!

It was a great show last night! I had never sat so close to the stage at a GBS concert before.
After the show it was good to meet you even though you could hardly talk. The "thanks, love" was good enough. Definitely made my night!!!!!!!!

Thanks for an incredible show in Edmonton! It was my fifth time seeing you guys, and I think it may possibly have been the best! Thanks so much for the guitar picks you handed to my two girls and for the pictures you posed for with me, the kids, and my sister. In the freezing cold, wearing only a hoody, you were kind enough to let me tinker with my camera when I realized the setting wasn't right. "May as well get it right," you said (or whispered!) Methinks you're as much an angel.

Angel is indeed one lucky dog to have come across you during your run. You seem to have a way with animals. I think that she knew that she would be in very capable hands with you until she could be returned to her owners. The dog's name may have been "Angel", but you were definitely Angel's angel that day. I'm sure that she'll never forget you, and that you'll never forget her.

Hope you enjoy your rest in your fancy schmancy hotel room. You deserve it. Even angels need time to rest! :)

Hmmm...hard to tell from the side view but I would guess Angel to be the same or similar breed of our little pooch...am thinking a Shitzu mix...ours is a Shi-Poo (Shitzu Poodle mix),,,the nose is a dead giveaway. Awesome dog by the way...and an awesome story too. I am sure Angel's family is thinking YOU were the Angel in that story :) Yay for Dog Lovers!

Alan, bless you for rescuing an angel, we all need to be rescued sooner or later. Amazing show at the Jube in Edmonton on Saturday night. I saw you guys once before in Calgary about 10 or 11 years ago at the Saddle Dome, mosh pit style. I remember getting severely squished against the metal barricades at the front and I can remember you telling people behind us to "watch for the little people at the front". Thanks for that. I wasn't able to stick around on Sunday and meet you and the guys which I would have really enjoyed. But I must add a side not that sitting in the second row was amazing, you guys are truly talented, but for the next show... can you put the seats farther apart? I bruised my shin and my calf from trying to jig during the show... I couldn't stop moving my feet! Laringitus didn't seem to stop me either! Thanks for 10+ years of amazing music and uplifting moments. Let me know when the next kitchen party at home is and I'll be there! Hopefully with room to jig!

Doyle, you lucky dog! Had you not enclosed a photo, I wouldn't have been inclined to believe you... only because your life seems so animated... maybe a little Disney-ish. You're really on to something here. Children's films are definitely needing a lift if they can come out with crud like Beverly Hills Chihuahua. You've got the ending to the next great animal adventure... how did it all begin?

Hey, Alan...was at your concert in Regina on Saturday, November 29th and I just wanted to say thank you for making an ol' gal's dream come true. I turned 40 about 14 months ago and to see you guys in concert was at the top of my birthday wish list but you weren't anywhere near rural Saskatchewan. So...alas when I found out you were going to be in Regina I quickly purchased tickets. I don't know how I did it but I managed to get seats in the middle of the second row at the orchestra level. Wow! The concert was AWESOME! I couldn't soak enough in and was very saddened that after 2 encores the concert had to come to an end. It was the best concert I have been to and I just have to say that you and Sean are hilarious and I laughed as much as I sang and danced. I couldn't help thinking what a shame it was that you were that close and that I didn't have the opportunity to say "Hello" and "Thank you" and maybe have some intelligent conversation. I will never forget. I did come home and share the Angel story with my kids and we all thoroughly enjoyed the picture of Angel. My three kids are all GBS fans and love the song "Run Runaway". Thank you, thank you, thank you!

...to come across an unexpected little ball of fluffy love....I can relate. Each night when I pull into the driveway, my neighbor's new cat comes's a run'in and when I open the car door he jumps into my lap for a warm hug and a rub.....it just makes all the day's trials drop away....ahaaaa :-)

From an owner who treated her dog like a baby (even after 14 years), you are as wonderful a person as you are a singer for picking up Angel and taking her back to the bus to wait for her "mom". No matter how much fur or how used to the cold they are no telling what would have happened if you hadn't have come along. Good for you!!

Hope your pipes are feeling better. Can't wait to see you in Chicago and St. John's.

From all reports, the Daffodil Place gig was a grand success. Sean isn't the only one who is damn proud of you for all you've done to help make Daffodil Place a dream come true. If nobody has told you yet today that you are wonderful, please consider it said now.

Now grab a bit of rest while you can, and then have yourself a nice, warm, shovel-free Christmas and New Year's. With lots and lots of songwriting.
